Sharing
Tammy M Darby Sep 2016
I am going to start sharing everyone's work on here.  We are all artists that paint picture with words and though we may not understand each others writings at times poets are all cut from the same cloth from the novice writer to the more skilled. Give the young writers a chance and you newer artists learn from those who have lived in the world of poetry longer than you. You older poets remember what it was like to search for words to express what you were feeling. Appreciate the individuality and love of the written word that binds us together

The Seventh Bomb
Tammy M Darby Sep 2016
Staggering explosions of venom-laden light
In a world of darkness constructed by man
Debauched genius and greed tainted sight
In second blinding rays of silver filled the skies

Trillions of once living humans lay dead
Empty warm footprints were life once led
Gray piles of ash on radiation kissed the ground
The species ended
Beating hearts unbound

It was not the first bombed dropped
Nor the cause of their fall
Or the second
That followed
When Azrael began to call
The third
The Destroyer
slowly seeping life
The fourth
Spreading it fiendish tentacles
Created from evil and lies
The fifth
Came in waves of poison rippled sound
The sixth
Was death cold sister come to hover round

But came the seventh
In clap of thunder
None now left to worship
In awe and wonder
The seal had been opened
The convent broken between God and man
The punishment foretold
Revealed in the blood of the lamb

Found my hand open with a bleeding heart
No pity seen in my cold angry eyes
As the hatred festered and lingered
Warm blood ran through my fingers
Affection drenched in terror fled in fear
No longer clasp close or held dear.

Tis an empty hole where the ***** once dwell
Woe to those who dare pursue me
For my thoughts rise up from hell

Shadowed moon and falling stars
Found my hand open with a bleeding heart
Comets red, orange and gold ribbon tails
Burning lights of love
In the bones deaths chill.

Cold hidden planets
Endless frozen forever nights
Loves tears of sorrow
Embrace hates delight

Shadowed moon and falling stars

My Symphony in Hell
Tammy M Darby Apr 2016
I conduct the symphony of hell
In the earths bowels overflowing with sin
Silence rules momentarily as my infamous symphony begins
Horned demons of ancient tales and nightmares
Eagerly pluck their human strings

Shrieking and pitiful wailing
The crescendo of suffering starts
Moans of the forever ******
Music so terrible and dark

Burst forth the voices of guilt ridden souls
From sulfur fumed burning pits of fire
Each must bear their own punishment
The offense of mortal desire

Sounds of tortured emotions
So shrill and high they scream
Those wrapped in flames until the sun dies
Drowning in insanity's seas
Their pain only adds to the haunting composition
In my arrangement of demonic melodies

So into the depths of hell I delve
For notes of the cursed
Can be found no where else
These are the lyrics of the lost
I am the conductor
Of the symphony in hell

That frightens you away
Or the words bleeding down my face
That love bound cannot say

The crying in my soul
Only goodness hear
The beating of my heart
Crimson flames
Forcing you oh so near

The darkness in my soul
Birthed from the fountain of sadness
I kneel and drink with little regret
Willingly
From the puddle of madness

Is it the darkness in my soul
That frightens you away
Or deaths reflection in my eyes
The words you cannot say

The Black Horse
Tammy M Darby Mar 2016
The black horse of nocturnal dreams
That of which the cursed angels sing
The black horse
Of man's design
The black horse of untold times

Braided mane fiery long and flowing
Riding into the darkness all knowing
I am that which feeds the demons fear
Hidden in a blind man's tears

The black horse of lost tomorrows
The ghosts of suffering and sorrow
Thundering hooves of the written word
The sound of blood trumpets can be heard

Bringer of nocturnal dreams
That of which the dark angels sing.
The black horse with deep earth eyes
Vicious wind of the people cries

The black horse of lost tomorrows
The ghosts of suffering and sorrow
The listener of your agonized screams
The bearer of your darkest dreams

The Art of Death
Tammy M Darby Mar 2016
Is in the taunt string and the bow
Sitting quietly with anticipation
Between recognition and the know
The strength of the aim
The tremble of loves arrows flow

The art of Death
Is in the curve of the wood
The polish of the shine
Intent accepted and understood

The art of death
The power of man
Five fingers taunt
A deep breath
The release from cold hands

Unsuspecting quarry was struck
Continuous practice of a cynical eye
Dull emotions of satisfaction
Fleeting moments of regret
A small sigh

The art of death
Is in the taunt string and the bow
Waiting quietly
Between the recognition and the know

May the Angel of sadness recline on your shoulder
The face betrayed grow larger and ever bolder
The pain of age creep into your bones
While the ghost that haunts you
Sing her sorrowful song

Casting anguish and silver star dust into angry winds
Let that paid for in blood begin
No path to follow
No sanctuary in which to hide
In the desperate stillness of the night

It shall be as the as the dark words were spoken
The curse of life
The gift of hatred
The token

May the Angel of regret wear now the wedding band
The cold demon of revenge caress your wretched hand
These gifts are given deliberately with spite
It awaits you
The desperate stillness of the night

I Often Wonder
Tammy M Darby Feb 2016
Why poets are overcome by the need
To scatter words across the universe
Many wind-blown seeds.

To splash their sadness on paper
Paint black their rage,
A sea of raw emotion
Where melancholy rules as queen

I often wonder
If they ever desire to escape
From the fantasy worlds
Sometimes willingly created.

Relaying their loves, dreams, and trysts,
Oblivious to the reality
That in truth they don't exist
They are after all only a projection of light in the dark
  Simple words of the poet.
The artist of thought.

My Face Hides a Smile
Tammy M Darby Feb 2016
Thoughts of malice play in my mind
Between my vindictive tongue and damning rhyme
Disturbing images of death
Pass before my narrowed eyes

My face hides a smile
Woven with cruel words
Brazen and beguile
The inviting lips now cold with betrayal
Absent from an empty cavity
The heart
Tread upon too long to survive

My face hides smile
Too frightening and terrible to reveal
Vessel of hate
Oh malevolent spirit
'That sits at the feet
Of loves loss and ills

My face hides a smile
That cannot be seen
For that what once was
For that what soon will be
My face hides a smile

When the Monster Comes
Tammy M Darby Jan 2016
Muffle echoing screams
Brush hot tears from heavy brown lashes
Falling from violent dreams

Kiss trembling lips lightly
When the monster comes
Till blackness permeated with pain
Flees from the rising sun

Caress oh so tenderly
The hesitant outstretched hand
Gaze upon the shattered being
The artwork of man

Words flow across my skin'
Icy Poisoned Silver droplets
I wash way the thoughts of normality
To dance with shadowy images of time
As I plunge into the waters of emotions seething wildly
And my face reveal the sublime

Death take my cold hand bade me follow
I swim in the ocean of forever's sorrow
So cloak my cold body with the stars of sadness
As I bathe in the moonlight of madness

The Music of Sleep
Tammy M Darby Sep 2015
Zephyr winds bade me follow
To the black coolness of the night
Do bear my souls sum
Call forth the God Apollo
Upon his lyre strum

Pray the voices of nine muses
A lullaby to soothe me
As a willing soul
I open the box of sleep

May the son of Hermes
Lively cloven hoof centaur Pan
Join me in sweet slumber
Birds song on pipes
Of hollowed stem reed

Through shadows of Pluto I pass
As I sail into Neptune's blue green oceans deep
Hear the wails of the lemur's sorrow
Song of poor Orpheus love and plight
Gently wake me on the morrow

Shadows and Fire
Tammy M Darby Sep 2015
Loves shadows and hates fire
Whisper softly my hearts desire
To a cold dead moon
As the old demons howl
The ground in terror will tremble and shake

A bloodless murderers hand
Into my steaming cauldron is thrown
Long toothed Blue bats wing from northern caves
Mixed with enchanted grave dust stolen from the fairy land

Out of my blue colored feather covered bag
A tiny sticky yellow red eyed frog
One shiny two horned pinching beetle
That will bite no more
Into the ***
Three long gray hairs from a rabid dog

I sing the song humans fear
The notes fall upon frightened ears
My words travel deadly and silently
A venomous arrow into the night
Laying upon my victim
A fine coverlet of blindness
By spell removing their sight

Loves shadows and hates fire
Whisper softly my hearts desire
To a cold black dead moon
As the old demons howl
The ground in terror will tremble and shake

And so the tears did Fall
Tammy M Darby Jun 2015
In a veil of seething fire
Discontented and decimated
Emotions worn and spent
Empty and cold as a marble vase
With fingered fine cracks
Still beautiful in its imperfections
To the eye
Of loves beholder

And so the tears did fall
In a thick haze of darkness
Repelling the light
A sickly yellow stream
Who in its naive foolishness
Dared venture in
My heart wounded
Wandered
To and fro cross the paths of the earth
Lost in despair

And so my tears did fall
In a torrent of energy
Endless and boundless
Infinite
My soul surged into the unknown of cosmos
The golden heavens of legends
Shrouded in  joy and awe
And the tears did fall

Growing ever bolder
While Insanity her sister
Places a cool hand
Upon your frail shoulder

Despair
The lady in waiting
For that which is and shall remain
The ruler of all
As sadness fell in stormy gray waves
When the heart pain called

Oh how deep the depth of the dagger
Endless the loss of love go
A secret torture of those caressed by passion
The coursing of desires flow

Is madness creeping round your mind
Growing ever bolder
While Insanity her sister
Places a cool hand
Upon your trembling  shoulder

I say my Prayers
Tammy M Darby Mar 2015
and cross my heart
When the ghosts of the past appear
and the dark nightmares start
There is no respite to be found
Pity finds no escape
As I am completely surrounded
By the shadows of fate.

So claw the dark demons;
Sharp nails,
Out of my suffering mind.
Forced now to surface
Once held captive in time

So I say my prayers
Listening to tragic sighs
Prepare for the onslaught
Close my eyes

The Snarling Beast
Tammy M Darby Jan 2015
There is no avenue for escape
Forever dreams now will cease
For hiding in the dark
With ravenous glistening eyes
Is a viscous snarling beast

Cannibalistic
Is its insanity of imagination
Conjuring up visions of
Emotional disembowelment
The soul's evisceration

This immortal predator of the time
An avid consumer of synonyms and rhyme
For it comes to satisfy its appetite
Savoring its prey
Baring broken worn teeth
Blackness will swallow the shimmering day

Peer round the corner
Pools of thought
Cool translucent eyes
Hear the echoes of coming destiny
It is the satisfaction of the blood hunt
The breath of a warm sigh

Venture past the gift of madness
Deep into the shadowed heart
Barely Interlaced edges
The snarling beasts lie waiting
Lurking in the dark

One Tear Drop
Tammy M Darby Jan 2015
Listen the stillness
Of a broken lullaby
The deadness of a cold hand
The strength of agony in hardened eyes

The emptiness trickles softly in
Where loneliness reclines too bold
Jasmine smoke trails filled the air
With a story soon to be told

One teardrop shed for love
One teardrop shed for hate
One teardrop shed for the angel of power
One teardrop shed for your grave

Listen the damp darkness
Of a broken lullaby
White peacocks screaming in the night
The strength of agony in hardened eyes

Nightmares Emerge
Tammy M Darby Jan 2015
From sleeps sweet embrace
To become realities eyes
Clouded with a dark imagination
Set forth in a torturous rhyme

Insanity my love
Premeditated thoughts undisclosed
Revealed the prophecy
Attired in woe

Each long night when dreams turned to sand
The delicate soul lay bathed in tears
Doing battle protected by the amour of loyalty
Overcoming the conquests of fear

Nightmares emerged from sleeps sweet embrace
Memories became realities stark face.
Morning comes and ends the assault
A peace that is gained
At a terrible cost.

The Days Come and Go
Tammy M Darby Jan 2015
When my mind is a cold cell
Graced by heaven
Possessed by hell

I can easily escape
I can certainly walk out
Still thoughts of madness
Laughing dance about

There are no iron bars
Not a single heavy chain
Trapped in my mind
Betrayals sly game

I whisper words that no one hears
Emotions cut me unending
Loves bitter tears

The days come and go
When my mind is a cold cell
Graced by heaven
Controlled by hell

A cup of Sadness
Tammy M Darby Dec 2014
I poured a cup of sadness
Stirred with angers spoon
Called to the four winds of the heaven
Bowed low the crescent moon

For sweetness sake
I happily added
A generous measure of pain
Mixed in cream pale and weak
Colored with the tears of rain

On a crystal flaming platter
Served carefully by the hand of guile
I watched the orange blue fire demons
Contented and smiling
Passed the while

So it was I spoke the curse
For what was given to me
Was returned in kind
Unending loneliness of the soul
The nightmares of a troubled mind

Some would say
My revenge was too great
Others will berate me in my death
But let it be said I showed no mercy
Only to God must I pay the debt

So have a cup of sadness
Drink until you are no more
For with intent I speak these words
Accompanied by malice and scorn.

Clouds of the Night
Tammy M Darby Dec 2014
Betrayal dropped from trusted lips
Into a deep velvet void
Love broken did slip.

Buttoned up
With cursed needle sewn tight
Blue skies were saturated
With clouds of the night

Till came a day
Aged and worn
Caught on a smile
The pocket was torn

Spreading shiny white wings
Love bolted and took flight
Never again to be graced
By clouds of the night.

So natural numbers are the same as counting
What other kinds are there?

We are all Dead Men
Tammy M Darby Oct 2014
Let the tale begin
Though our hearts run, skip and race.

Squandering the living earth
With no conscience laying it to waste
Selling our lives for a printed green face
Ill- gotten by the stroke of a pen

We are all dead men
Counting our black  sins
Willing souls infected
Putrid
Evil smell carried high on the wind

Now the tale comes to an end
We are all dead men
Flowing thick blood, muscle and bone
Into the underworld we march
Judged and condemned
Hell now our comfort and home
We are all dead men

The World was falling Apart
Tammy M Darby Oct 2014
The night descended upon the day
Inhaling the goodness
Smothering
Murderous
Diseased and dark

.Mankind swallowed down the perverse evil and sickened
Desperate for the emotions once felt
No longer remembered
That will once more warm and quicken
Dead jaded hearts,

Rose from their bank's angry rivers
Now rocky dry brooks
The ocean overcame the land
Islands sank to sea beds below
The earth furious heaved and split
The coals of the sleeping volcano's were lit

Humanity shivered in moldy damp caves
Counting their once thought endless days
No longer gods of the earth
Of green rich ground
Or untouchable stars
The world was falling apart

The Haunting
Tammy M Darby Oct 2014
Damnation haunts yesterdays footsteps
Poison tipped arrow's bearing memories
Seek their mark
The day offers no mercy or  respite
From the long night screams in the dark

Salty sweat drops upon burning dreams
Awaken oh soul to the blackness and fear
Its but a fleeting moment of millenniums to come
Marked so carefully on a calendar of tears

Turning helpless eyes away from the light
Placing trembling hand upon forever's door
Incomprehensible words muttered under your breath
Slipping into oblivion
Off sanity's sharpened edge.

The Darkest Hour
Tammy M Darby Sep 2014
Comes.
Mystical runes cast
The old forgotten songs sung.
I summon all my power from white fire.
It approaches stealthily;
The darkest hour.

The blackened *** will be stirred.
Words unspoken for a thousand years,
From blood less lips said.
Owls talons, lizards and toadstools,
With this potion my small vial fill.

Dragons, demons, imps and sprites,
Salute in homage  and bow down.
Ghosts appear if I so desire.
With a wave of my hands.
The contents of the glowing cauldron,
Bubbling fiercely,
Turning the future red.

And so with out announcement
Striking of twelve on the hour
What was foretold has begun
It comes;
The darkest hour.

Welcome to my world
Tammy M Darby Sep 2014
Of perpetual sadness
It is my closet and dearest companion
Speckled writhing snakes of madness
Melancholies gold jeweled scepter
A dark gaunt haunting specter I am
Walking hand in hand with betrayal
The confidant of love

Welcome to my world of voluntary isolation
Playing hide and seek with trepidation
I do not speak
For my mind racing at speeds beyond comprehension
Of these thoughts, I shall make no mention
For they will shatter your beliefs and offend your senses

Welcome to my world
Where sulfur smelling whispering shadows abound
Death hovers round rings of on destiny of his fingers
Waiting watching
Silent patient and knowing

I am a rare painting of violence
Rendered by a greedy vicious hand
Created by a monster who dances behind a smile
That cannot be destroyed

Welcome to my world.

The Soul must be fed
Tammy M Darby Sep 2014
Who shall deny me my revenge.
Betrayed love and honor bear a price,
If in my hatred loyalty avenge.
A heart long restrained burst forth in anger,
The soul must be fed.

My calculated trembling thoughts,
The cruel and vengeful dream I seek,
Slain with stinging wounding words, he was
Bitter blade ****** deep.

I smile smugly contented,
Scheming roads to hell led,
For I gave warning in the beginning,
The soul must be fed.

Those who did not see
Tammy M Darby Aug 2014
As the earth sprouted deaths seeds
The moon crumbled  into shadowy dust
Greed's skeletal  hand did blind
The seeing eyes of mankind
Into the universe was evil's blade ******

Unseeing
Uncaring
The sun grew cold
The seas rose from their depths and beds
Mountains shook with vengeful power
The long anticipated hour
Till the sound of humans were no more.

From dust of those before us we came
To this same dust we will return
Our existence fading into lore
Written in the infinite skies
Our doom and destinies prophecies
Alas this was the sad stars tale
Of those who did not see

Tammy M Darby Jun 2014
River of Red
Down float the cold dead
Rise to heaven those pure of heart
Evil sink to black depths unknown

River of red
Souls bob and weave
Angels gaze solemnly
Careful not to dip
Holy white robes
Blessed golden feet
Into inky depths of sin

River of red
Come now the parade
The recently expired
Among the creatures of the earth
On judgment waters, they glide
Justice rushing cold currents
River of red

The Fires of Darkness
Tammy M Darby Jun 2014
I fell into the fires of darkness
Where all lost souls do dwell
Breath upon ancient cursed stone walls
The carvings of heaven and hell

Doomed
Our punishment is to slowly burn
A thousand millenniums
For  peace we shall yearn

Into the fires of darkness fall
Forbidden from the light of day
The sentence be eternally endured
Beckoning before us
The shining path of purity lay.

Tammy M Darby May 2014
Swirling memories in time
Often appear though unwanted without warning
Pale masked face emotionless
Upon red lips loves bitter taste

Twisted licorice memories
Crimson ribbons of the mind
Thoughts flutter by in madness rhyme
Dancing and taunting
Desire's passionate touch
Haunting
The kiss of melancholy
Cruel sweetness

A feast of regret
Sumptuous delicacies on a mirrored plate
Lost in mist of imagination
With only a backward glance
Realty slips past quietly
Opening insanities gate
Floating on green seas of time
Until once more called
Black ribbons of the mind

White dust in golden skies
Atoms and protons of the universe
Mortal
Destined to die

The blackness of our souls
Revealed in dead eyes
As the creator call us rise from our graves
In cold coffins unmoving we lie

Shadows of the underworld
Fate place upon us aged hands
Strong heart that beats in sinewy chests
Is the silent downfall of man

Love and life's ills take tragic toll
Until we breathe no more
Forgotten
Lying in decaying ground
Still and silent evermore

Fallen Soldiers
Tammy M Darby May 2014
Any President that would send our men to war to fight for this great nation, allow these soldiers to die from neglect on the soil of the United States of America while denying knowledge of it should not be due the process of impeachment. He should be immediately dismissed from his job and all benefits denied.

Love
Tammy M Darby May 2014
Treacherous word
My life has been tainted by this curse
Its cohorts of chaos
Caring, promises. affection.
Silk upon tender lips
A sweet confection

Recognition of this emotion
I steadfastly decline and deny
The heavy burden of memories
Poison of time
Love
I reject it as any intelligent mind would
Revile it as some pray they could
It is to be trapped in a web of sadness
No visible means of escape or hope

So banned it remains
My deepest wish forever lost
Un movable as a heavy stone
I desire a heart of ice
Reclusiveness is my fate
The terrible cost
The price

Despair's Garden
Tammy M Darby May 2014
Joy’s innocent lovely face
Kissed with wrath
By deceitful lips of sorrow
Naive heart touched by the hands of woe and greed
So began the planting of hearts seed

Frail scented blossoms
Despairs purple flowers
Fall headlong helpless
Into destinies misty tomorrows
Bitterness ever grown
In sour soil
Broken soul tears were sown
A bouquet of sadness
Melancholy’s songs
Despair’s garden

Became
Tammy M Darby Apr 2014
During the years of my lifetime
That which should never be imagined
Became
Blood ran through the streets
Cursed day
In dark deep holes
Blessed with white lime
The cold bodies lay

Orphans shall be the children
Of this massacred generation
Humans bore the blame
For the chaos in the world
The red burning devastation

In long rows of dirt holes the remnants lay
Candles upon their chest
Revealing ashen faces
Death’s cold grim graces
When the crimson night
Exploded into black day
That which should never be imagined
Became

Scarlet Drapes
Tammy M Darby Mar 2014
I closed the scarlet drapes
Of my black and blue life
Cloaked carefully
Invisible
From prying eyes
Barred the stain glass windows
Of a wandering soul lost
The bitterness of promise
Upon thin red lips

Glancing back into the past
Coaxing bruised memories from my mind
Watching them slide from my hands
Tiny globes of affection’s pain
Micro drops of burning sand
Of sadness timeless solitary face
Lonely kiss of the fates
Was of my cold breath comprised

On the splintered altar
Love was with acceptance
Sacrificed
Trembling broken heart
Disappearing into the night
For eternity entombed was my desire
I closed the scarlet drapes of my life

Poison
Tammy M Darby Mar 2014
May my tears be the poison you drink
Into the arms of darkness you shall sink
My souls sadness
Be the coat you wear
As the blood drips slowly
From my dying hearts tear

This curse I cast into the wind
Calling to he who cannot be seen
The emotion of mercy
Is beyond my reach
Love from your body
I shall glean

So my warm tears be the poison you drink
From you I will take all
An empty vessel
Pity I do not possess
Into hell your mind will fall

You opened the door
Tammy M Darby Mar 2014
If in the crescendo of my anger and pain
You are turned to ash and destroyed
The blame rests upon your shoulders
For you were duly warned
Scoffing at my advice to beware
You turned the handle and released the demon
Willing opened the door

If in my strange song of sadness
Ring out the deadly notes of retribution
I seek rightfully a vengeful solution
To the evil deeds perpetrated
Upon a now dangerous soul

If in my despair
I choose to be no more
The fault grow into a knotted fist inside your brain
Consumptive
Inoperable
The tumor wraps around your thoughts
Which shall turn to madness
No eviction is possible

Reflect upon the words I leave you with when I say
The responsibility is yours
You had received ample warning
Still you opened the door

Anonymous
Tammy M Darby Mar 2014
I live a poet’s life in an anonymous plane
Unseen by those considered normal,
Unheard by those deemed sane.
The only proof of my existence
Dangerous knives of poetry in lines on paper
An alias moves the pen in my hand
That scribbles stinging, bitter words
About love, death and the atrocities of man

I am anonymous
Even my name is not my own
My thoughts are scrawled wickedly with intent on paper
For the masses to observe
At a distance my carnivorous demanding audience must remain
From physical contact with these dull creatures
I gladly refrain
Retreating behind a mask of stone
Beneath it a face that bears lines of great sadness
A frozen sculpture of a heart for many years entombed

So it is and shall always be
Truly my words are all you will ever see
Closing off the door to reality
With the stroke of a pen
To my invisible life I hastily return
I am anonymous

Cobwebs and Shadows
Tammy M Darby Mar 2014
Dance carelessly upon grey walls
Spiders
Eight hairy legs
Multi eyed
Tip toe down sticky halls

Stretching giving seams
Creaking moans and groans
Red splattered hard beams
Aching secret laden wood

In the silent
Coldest room
Did the crying ghost reside
Forced to bear
On the blackest of nights
A fiery devils ride in the mind
On a long mane white horse
While a half moon shone high
Following over and again
The same sad course
Of cobwebs and shadows

Who would Dare
Tammy M Darby Mar 2014
To me speak words of affection
My love, thee and mine
Facing most assuredly
Certain unconditional rejection
In the perilous quest to revive
A heart frozen in time

What fool would dare
Cast loving glances my way
Walks the road of glass shards
For his admiration shall be slain

In a last desperate effort
To coerce cold blood to flow
Injecting love into a mind
Where thoughts of two
Will no longer grow

Alas the valiant dreams
Are all in vain
As soul less eyes stare out
From the impenetrable veil of pain
Who would dare

I am a sculpture
Of life' beautiful scars
Frightening when viewed too close
Perhaps better glimpsed at from afar

Twisting wounds
Healed over scratches
The heart entombed by loves hand
Blood covered latches

Oh masterpiece
Of  intentional cuts and scrapes
Purple raised blue bruises
Hidden carefully from the world
  I employ delicate spiderweb curtains
And my sleight of hand illusion's

It is only the bearer who understands
Where the deepest wounds are hidden
Bitter tears in a deep bottomless chasm
The unforgettable kiss of affections contusions

These shadows must never be loosened
Forever restrained even by deception
Guarded by spiderweb curtains
And sleight of hand illusion's

Predator of Souls
Tammy M Darby Feb 2014
Refusing to die
Struggled fiercely to walk away

I attempted ******
Trying the bury the evil energy
Wrapped in charms
In a burning grave

Still breathing
This defiler of death
Tongue of golden words
Falling on only those poor naive souls
Love desperate to be heard

Tender hearts strings strummed
Sweet songs to the listening ear
Promised safe harbor to stay
Intent on destroying the deceptive predator of souls
I banished the power of day

Besieging with it
With dark incantation
Magic dangerous spells
Disciplined eastern meditation

Calling the creature to me
Powerless
It could not resist
Wretched demon of time
I trapped the beast
In a witches pentagram
Sealed at each point
With chants of  forgotten ancient rhyme

Defenseless against me
A white sorceress
The monster was destroyed
Bound forever
Cursed by salt and fire
In hell to stay forever more

The Sky Wept
Tammy M Darby Feb 2014
Ash and tears
For the species man
As the infiltrating tentacles of self destruction
Unstoppable
Spread from hand to hand

The earth hid its eyes
So the moon would not see
As she whimpered and cried
For what was to be

The sea thrashed in rebellion
Displaying its hate and pain
The creatures of the ocean
Floated in with the tide
Rotting upon white sands

In protest of their demise
Called upon Neptune's strength
The poison cast on waters by evil
Man himself shall drink

When the sky wept black tears
The earth hid its eyes
The oceans roared with anger
The moon wailed and cried

He said I love you
Tammy M Darby Feb 2014
The thick liquid began to slowly drip
I need you
I wiped the red off my lips

Through out your life
You are mine forever
As the blood ran down my mouth
I shielded my body
My mind going slack

Hands on my white throat
Began violently to squeeze
Eyes rolled back into my head
My soul in terror tried to flee

As the darkness closed in
He let the words slip
I love you
Slowly releasing his grip

The sharp knife  against my throat
A weapon of fear
Submission its goal
Its deadly edge
I know all too well

Blue eyes
A person I did not know
Slept with me in the cradle of nightmares
Till the orange sun rose
He said I love you
A fool
My forgiveness flowed
For he was mine
This demon
To God I had spoken the vow

Always conscious and wary
He would speak the dreaded words again
I love you
Till would come my sad end
