A lady
Her scars were hidden
The ******* that had burned her
Left her to deal with it on her own

Tears shed
Stubborn and strong
Never being broken
She was a woman

Along came a man
Someone who said hello
Honestly
She felt vulnerable because of him

He saw this
And held her
"It's okay baby"
"I won't let anyone hurt you"
Were the words out of his mouth

He meant it

A real man takes care of his woman
And will carry all of her baggage

Always.
