Miss Havisham Nov 2014
Soon lights will go out
as the dawn throws its bright rays—
a new day is born.

Miss Havisham Jul 2014
Accumulated
old letters upon my desk
some are bittersweet.

Miss Havisham Jul 2014
Through the windows I can see,
the gardens are in bloom once more.
I catch a moment of beauty,
it was a fading glance.
Beauty, all around.
Beauty I had
failed to
see!

Miss Havisham Mar 2014
Frozen garden statues stare
Blankly into nothingness
Eyes that see all but do not
Perceive anything.

I am frozen, cold as ice,
All of me is blank and numb.
I have eyes that see as well,
I'm just a statue.

So old and yellowed
The Bible my father owned
I read it by candlelight.

Miss Havisham Mar 2014
Long bleak hours of night
Darkness looms all around me
Even in the day.
All my windows are sealed up,
Candles burn all day and night.

Miss Havisham Mar 2014
I see the pure white snow melting,
as it drips through the holes in my ceiling.

I know that inside, my heart bleeds,
from the holes left from that jilt.
