Dappled sunlight filters in
Late afternoon meanders by
Absorbing my thoughts,
They filter through
And I am dozing,
Warm and cozy
In my bed of grass
And time just passes,
Never rushing once to fly.
A sonnet's what this is, that much is plain
There really isn't any need to stare
Its introduction's made in this quatrain
Two more will follow, then a rhyming pair

It is iambic, so it goes “dot dash”
Two syllables a foot, five feet a line
The rhythm takes you onward in a flash
The sense of structure's reinforced by rhyme

After the first octet, a change of mood
The sonnet's true intentions are revealed
Its themes are love and essence, nothing crude
Hard hearts begin to melt and ******* to yield

Then closure as it slowly slips away
A soft exit – a pyrrhic fall – spondee.

There was this poor woman on telly
who carried nine babes in her belly
when asked is it right
to endure such a plight
yes, my sponsor is K&Y; jelly

Fingers and toes curling
My fingers, your toes
Eyes and walls closing
Lips and lips watering
At the thought of a Lover’s kiss

I want to run my tongue
In delicate lines
Up and down your thighs
Smiling while You’re gasping
In my passing
Lips to the other side

There is an art to teasing
Having you twitching and wishing
I’d get to the pleasing, seeming
To pass closer and closer each time
Up and down your thighs

And while fingertips
Are a sorry substitute for Lover’s lips
It only takes the slightest brush
To have you quivering at my touch
And you cannot disguise
The passion building in your eyes
As I run my hands
Up and down your thighs

I’ll kiss your lips
No more stalling
As my kisses, slowly falling
And your heartbeat quickly rising
Fabric dropping, realizing
That finally this time
I’m not kissing towards your thighs.
Glass upon glass.
Shattered and ground
Into a powder so fine
It will seep into his veins.
She takes special care not to cut herself as
She spreads the deadly dust upon his side of the bed.
He enters the room.
Sheds his clothes,
And gives her a kiss.
He tastes of Her.
He smells of Her.
Settling into bed, he turns off the light.
In the dark, she smiles.
You know what they say about a woman scorned?
They don't know the half of it.
