There is nowhere to go.
Not a place unforeseen.
Throughout this land,
of mysterious things.

I wonder..
Am I to make of it a dream?
Or lie victim to its squander,
with pity to my name?

My soul thirsts for a taste of substance,
a place to call home,
cheeseburgers with mustard.

the moon is hiding in
her hair.
The
lily
of heaven
full of all dreams,
draws down.

cover her briefness in singing
close her with the intricate faint birds
by daisies and twilights
Deepen her,

Recite
upon her
flesh
the rain’s

pearls singly-whispering.

The shadows of love become the ghosts of the past
Found only in the smells trapped between your sheets
Friendships fade into nothingness leaving so little trace
You can hardly believe they were real
Times do change and people grow up
But every so often, someone gets left behind
Cigarette after cigarette just biding their time
Until they can again find meaning in life

bitter are tears
raindrops in the desert
loud sadness
requiem for dreams
sighs rubbing balm
on memories

let it flow
bitter liquor
and angry spirits
two enemies

I'll tell you tonight
memories
instead of dreams
and hold your hand
let thanks
be greater than the will
deeper than obligations
thicker than the blood

sleep tonight, sleep
tomorrow, tomorrow I'll wake up
and re-print the words
many, unnecessary,

candles red
on a coffin
red candles
instead of dawn

Dust

Dust returns carried by the wind and rough footsteps of
thin heels kilometers across

Deposits on the glasses and big screens
in gossamer layers

Dust disappears under rainy tears
of funny clouds

Passes through the fingers, elusive,
even if we hermetically seal ourselves dust always finds a way

Love, dreams, memories ...
in a moment they become dust

My hands, they quiver
My voice, it shakes
My heart, its pounding
My head, it aches
My friends, they're dead
My enemies, in power
My life, its passing
My death, next hour

In & out
Hearts collide and pound
You've opened my door
For things I never imagined
I could indulge in before
You play at my gates; as we let time escape
Just run away with me babe
Let's just get high & drive
Into dawn, dusk or the night sky

We are but the typical teenage dream
Living life on the edge
Day by day
Sets our damaged hearts at ease
For I could never imagine living a life more blessed
And happier moments than these; for they are simply timeless.

A thousand moments we took for granted
In the blink of an eye a year flies past
With a yawn spanning decades until suddenly
You wake up alone, not sure why
The diaspora college brings upon us is tragic
Shattered ties and broken hearts litter the land
Forced out into a world lacking compassion
We become adults far too soon
Wandering our way through the desert
In search of life, and love
and happiness
Hoping to find meaning
Desperate for a reason to keep going
Tired and hungry, lost and alone

Geek, ***, loser
Find the rope to hang
Anxiety attack on deck
Don't nobody feel your pain
Weight of the world on your shoulders
Daddy isn't around
Family falling to pieces
Home run into the ground

Little brother cries after school
Its what the bullies have turned him into
Bright child full of love
Living in a world full of hate
Turned into a scared child now
Growing up ***** when you're his age
Everyday is a struggle trying to be optimistic
Knowing he has to go to a place where the kids are so sadistic
inspired in part by the song "Rusty"
