Set sail with God, don't go back
Set sail with God, never look back
Move forward, leave the past behind
Aim for the goal, the prize of His call

Strong winds will blow, storms will arise
Remember, keep your focus on Christ
In Him you're a victor, you won't fail
By faith, all is well with your sail
Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 3:13-14)

"Not guilty! God threw away my sins into the sea. Christ became a curse for me when He hung on a tree," declared a sinner turned saint.

"Free at last, I'm no longer bound by the past. I'm a new creation man, thrilled to follow God's plan," exclaimed a freed soul.

"I'm complete, God's love is so sweet. He fixed what was broken, and promised I won't be forsaken," sang a healed heart.

"So blessed, my soul is at rest. In Christ, I have victory over the works of the enemy," shouted a champion.

God gave them His kiss of redemption, and they experienced true liberation.

Come to His table, your life will turn around. He is willing and able, for His grace abounds.
"The Kingdom of God is near! Repent of your sins and believe the Good News!" (Mark 1:15)

The light of the Gospel shone
In her heart so broken and torn
Where sin was king enthroned
God made His only Son known
Divine being on earth was born
Became human, an object of scorn
Suffered and died on the cross forlorn
But death and grave were overthrown
In resurrection, Spirit power was shown
Her sins atoned, He calls her His own
The greatest act of love she's ever known
When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. (Romans 5:6-8)

It was a sunny day in May
When my hopes were stuck at sea
Counting blessings for the day
Waiting that grace might set them free
I came across a horseshoe crab
Life seemed as heavy as its shell
Burdens tacking on the tab
Waves relentlessly unquelled
Flipped helplessly undisguised
Grand purposes washed away
Blindly withering to gull cries
Despair cast around the bay
My stare breaks misfortune’s luck
Faith set aright by stronger hands
Plodding heartened from the muck
Sorrows evanescent in the sand
A weakened creature found favor
Now glides peacefully towards the deep
Trusting I too have a Savior
I surrender to His keep

If faith can buy anything,
What would be your purchase?
If faith can buy everything,
Would you still be trusting the LORD?

If favor is a commodity,
Can your money be enough?
Would you use all your resources
To get close to what you really want?

And if God always gives what your heart desires,
Would you see Him the way you see Him now?
Would you still seek Him if everything goes well?

And if you love the world too much,
You would never have valued what you have gained —
For what you gained in Christ is precious
That even money and power cannot buy.
callous
bruised
I held you
beheld you
with cruelty
with abandon
you
could have been cinders
cellophane
the patina of my absent mind
you
could have been a yesterday
forgotten
one of many
one, yet uncounted
one, lost in a crowd
me,
uncaring, and unbowed
heartless - ignorant

not today

today I saw you
through the window of my heart
vignetted
alone
as I always knew you
alone
without me

then

it occurred to me,
for the first time,
you were without me
and I
was without you
alone
we were alone
and I
yearned to solve your loneliness
your solitude
abrade the fixtures of isolation with warmth
wear down the gloom of silence
with laughter
praise of you
hold you
close,
as if holding myself
loving myself
through you
by you,
loving me
I love you deeper
softer
sweeter
into the cradle
of our love
where we are born
in bliss
fighting the cold
of our darkening world
while the light dies
our hearts burn ablaze
seeking the truth
the higher power that united us
God, who would wed us,
love,
that can save us,
if only we tried,
if only

yet,
for tonight,
I watch you
through the window
in my heart

I shed tears
wishing I were with you
but I will settle
for our dream...
As always
enjoy,

The cans in my room clang like church bells on a Sunday
waking me from a slumber as I roll in my blankets
the wind sweeps my cheek
my minds still asleep
but my eyes flutter anyway

I can taste last nights regrets on my tongue
stale
dry
like I spilled so many words
my mouth has nothing left to taste

Beer still rolls in my belly
holds me like an apology
as I reach for more water
I want to reach for something more

Love is strong. You are mauled and you come crawling back. You are frozen, and yet still you seek heat from the same wrong source. There is no partial reinforcement to explain this behavior. There is only the dark side of touch, the reality of primate relationships, which is that they can **** us while they hold us. But, the beauty is, we are creatures of great faith. We will build bridges, against all odds we will build them. From here to there. From me to you.
Malia May 6
My faith is mine
And mine alone.

This hope,
You cannot take away.

I’ll be drained
Of each drop of blood,
You’ll drag my name
Through the cherry-stained mud,
But my soul, my soul, my soul
Is saved.

My soul, my soul,
Is saved.
