Sometimes there is just to much...

So many heavy things,
That pull downward.
So many sensitive moments,
That cannot be tended to.

Sometimes there is just to much...

So many people that pry,
Stick their noses into your life.
Wonderful people that you want,
But that you cannot give the time.

Sometimes there is just to much...

Of the painful things,
That grind you down.
Of the stubborn things,
That will never let up.

Sometimes there is just to much...

But...
I am more,
Than anything I will face.
I will use the weight to be stronger.
I will use the challenge to grow into more.
Becoming more than I ever have been before.

I will rise.
Above everything else.
And I will become the Me that I want to be.
I can no longer express the events in my life in a cognitive, literary fashion.
I have now become a dazed combination of broken words, fleeing emotions, repetitive thoughts, and aching memories;
all coated in layer upon layer of confusion.
‘Sleep those little slices of death; oh how I loathe them’, and yet they still beckon my name.
Clawing and dragging my mind into unconsciousness.
As the night envelops me, I silently pray.
Pray my dreams do not devour me tonight, with the sharp fanged jaw that is thoughts of you.
Begining and end love and death
without love there is no death
without begining there is no end
without all of this there is only
existence
existence is only emptyness
because of this you really don't exist.
burn the light of fire
and wax the ears of injustice.

chide the moon
and bid ado to the reckless sun.

count the blessings of misfortunes
and wave verbs in the air--
breathing the hopeful breaths of married sandals

Label the pains of a billion rain drops and fawn the feathers
of a nightingale over the glory of failed
triumphs known as yesterday.

break the hands of a wristwatch and make a ******* of time--
for through the God in Satan was how Earth was won.
When you're 10 all you wanna do is wear those high heels,
those adult clothes, the make up to cover up,
all you try to do is grow up and time speeds up,
with no pause button, no rewinds,
You simply run out of time.
Before you know it you'll have that cigarette in your hand instead of that doll,
that short skirt instead of those ripped up old blue jeans,
You'll have mascara running down your face trying to figure out how time took it all away.
Before you know it you'll be exactly where you were when you were 10 but everything and nothing feels the same.
Time, time is always five steps ahead when you're already three steps behind.
Everyone's asking if I've made it, you know to the place I've desperately waited for so long
but I can't seem to let go of the idea of saying yes,
I made it,
I became the person I was supposed to be,
I got the chance to live, love, and laugh,
I got the chance to be extraordinary because they believed in the girl who reached for the farthest stars.
Truth be told they didn't, I'm not who I want to be,
I'm stuck on the ground when all I want to do is fly and no I didn't make it.
Everyone keeps asking but I, well I just nod and smile cause how's a girl like me going to explain all the could've beens and should've beens to a bunch of unfamiliar faces.
You know you got it real bad when you start saying " I got used to it"
Idyllic sensations of fingertips gliding across unspoiled flesh

Kisses fill in the gaps left by words unspoken

Bright eyes meet and exchange heavy glances of infatuation

Souls clinging to the inexperienced adoration, praying it stays fresh

The luxury of hearts yet to be broken

Blooming lust like budding carnations

Petals flittering about in cold springtime sun

Flippant and apathetic about what the future holds

Never expecting to be crushed under the boot of a world-weary passerby

Despite pressure to crumble apart, the petals cling together until their lives together are done

The heavy feeling of eyes cast upon young lovers, bystanders recanting the most terrible scolds

Are no match for star-crossed lovers, too entangled in emotions to be pulled apart by outside forces, and too far gone to say goodbye.
A poem to describe the purity and happiness that comes along with being in love when you're young. I wanted the poem to also portray the young lovers as oblivious to the outside world.
Violence in our hearts
Ignorant vice of our plans

Praising
What we read
What we see
What we hear

Acquiring knowledge we seek
Enriching others' minds
You can't always enlist

Minds are being allocated
Oppressive struggle nurtures servitude

What is your brain being allocated for?
What kind of freedom are you looking for?

Can't be one of us
If you're another capitalist appropriation
Poster child, a temporary venture

Falling in line to become another
Worker or bourgeois hypocrite slave
Isn't that why you study for?
What kind of life are you looking for?

There's no saving your soul
When your freedom depends
On chains of other men's hopes

Fighting to keep yourself, your family
Future generations being born out of you
Out of the venom of oppression and pain

Living life without concern or consciousness
Just the same as living in a prison cell
America, how many inmates do you host?

Security, don't you want a guarantee?
Your family may now have peace
But when you're no longer here, there's no guarantee

Can't be one of us
If you don't join in the struggles of our brethren
Because our security is not guaranteed until they're all free

How much pain
Can one heart take
Burning battle scars

Every time
I don't hear your voice
I'm lost

How could I fall so far
Always afraid to kiss you
Now there's no you

Aimless and alone
Hell in my heart, an upheaval
Power of my being, without appeal

Granting you freedom
How could you still steal
The whole of me

Shadow of me, walking
Acknowledging the best of me
Stored deep inside of you

Everything else is hopeless
As no distance or time
Has murdered my love for you

Veins chocking, turning blue
As my heart walks about within you
Leaving me here dying, its true

Aimless and alone
Hell in my heart, an upheaval
Power of my being, without appeal

Concrete full of blood
Skies, smoke-filled clouds

Poison, don't you see
INDUCING VOMITING
Of every freedom you hold

Incubators, landfills
For
Food deserts
Soul Scavengers
Bullet and knife showers
Parentless parents
Starving children
Hotbeds for addiction

Metropolises
Harvesting humans like ants
Where democracy manufactures
Oppressed consumers out of the masses
Majority starving for death

Poison, don't you see
INDUCING VOMITING
Of every freedom you hold

Those borders you revere
Hijacking your body and mind
Legislating no burning of the flag
Where they clean their blood-drenched hands on
Can you tell what side your on
When you agree, they hold a different nationality

When can there be actual solidarity?
Profets of freedom, alienating OUR power to be
When in doctrine, legislature, and policy
Hierarchizing who deserves to be free

In contempt, not compliance
In pain, not numb
Reactive, not inactive
Burning, boiling, shivering
Out of injustice

Poison, don't you see
INDUCING VOMITING
Of every freedom you hold

How can you keep suffering,
When you face the truth
