I feel like Icarus
Being able to fly
Love gave me wings
To swore in the heavens
But
Don't be so blind
Everything falls

I fell from the heavens
I still am falling
Forever out of touch
For I
Like Icarus flew to close
And got burned

Everyday I see you grow
I am proud of you
Even on your bad days
You are everything to me
And I will do anything for you
I watched you grow up
From a little dancing girl
To a smart proud woman
Everyday you grow more beautiful
Everyday you get stronger
Not just physically but mentally
I love you
And will always be here for you
You are family and family is everything
Not really a poem but a thought in my head I had to put up.

The mask I wear
For my family
For my coworkers
For my school friends
Is a mask of compleat happiness
No care in the world
But when I'm alone
The mask comes off
And there is the pain I feel
A feeling of loneliness
A feeling of emptiness
That is how I truly feel
Inside, behind my mask

The heat from two body's
As they sleep as one
I can't handle the heat
But with you laying next to me
I would bake and not stir
Laying here remembering
Every bead of sweet
Your breath on my back
I wish it could have lasted forever
But every night has its dawn

I call you sunshine
For the way you light my world
For the warmth you give me
Every morning you great me with that warm smile.

I call you sunshine
Because with out you
I would be cold
I would be in the dark

You are my light
My silver lining
No sunrise to my endless sleep
Nothingness closing in

Silence can ****, as they say
Your silence is worrying
Not knowing what may
Or may not be clicking

In that head of yours
Where you sit in silence
Nothing being said is it forlorn
Are we doomed to dance this dance of ours

From love to confusion
But isn't that what love is
Not knowing what each day brings in it's delusion
Even in your silence I still see us

Tossing and turning
After a fight
After a verbal war
After a stressful day
After a battle of wills

I lay here thinking
What we have
What went wrong
What should I do
What can I say

My sleepless nights
After all we have been through
What will make you mine
