Amidst a crowd
and silent roar
I spoke aloud
but to the floor

No one heard
or dared repeat
my spoken word
under their feet

For none could place
within the torrent
my hidden face
where life lay dorment

Though from the ground
after the snow
words rebound
and seeds do grow

Vitamin Forest
nurture in nature
healing the soreness
from legislature

metropolitan heart
the sreets pulse like veins
each hour depart
clogged artery trains

a lifeless appendage
bleeding the suburb
with no one to bandage
deluge to each curb

renewable resource
found in rurality
we ask for remorse
draught, virus plurality

Human being cancer
lets all dissolve
to find out the answer
and utter resolve
if the soul of a monster's
sins be absolved

I lost my words today
I woke to a note
that reads;

"We've decided to go
and make our own way
you're killing us slow
from the dumb **** you say
We leave you with silence
may that suit your life better
I know it will ours.
Love,
verse, line and letter"

What can be done?
I wondered away
without joke or pun
what more can I say?

Breathing in the dead of night
mouth to mouth resuscitation
cloudy plumes so soft and white
drying tears of condensation

Dawning light through misty veil
orange snow and burning sky
rooftop crystals, glass glazed rail
ice is in no short supply

Watching winter close the curtain
to another year come and gone
none the wiser of this I'm certain
like the moon and tide, I've withdrawn
Zachary May 2013
whittled down and disavowed
by an overreaching society
the pomp
and zeal
with such appeal
and airs of impropriety

unbelievable populace
chickens
chickens
chickens
free of heads
still peck, peck, peckin' ya

copulate, then like you less
pickens'
pickens'
pickens'
slim as anorexia

Act Now!
Don't Wait!
the finish line?
keep runnin' straight
you can go to class
...don't be late
or just go tip the magistrate

pointless?
I doubt it very much
more fish in the sea
spontaneous lush
oink less
piggy hush!

buy, buy birdie!
consumerism's sturdy
making up makeup
makin' me look perdy
hopin' I don't wake up

Live as hard as you can
just to die before you're thirty
if practice makes you perfect
then perfection makes you *****

Listen to October sing
the dancin' breeze
through leafless trees
the stabbin' cold in every thing

And to his narrow
tree branch brings'
a raven claimin'
oh, most everything

"Ring-ting-jingling"
catch that chimin' bird a ringin'
nine o'clock
nine times in stock to chime
and that old birds wastin' no time
a-singin'

A fluid ray of sunshine
extinguished on a distant hill
the songs of chorus birds unwind
replaced by silence and the still

The colors fade from gray to black
the yawns of life retreat in smoke
the moon commanding tides fall back
now swell in joy as she awoke

The moth protects the stubborn light
the shade now cools the well-fed tree
the wind passes in sheer delight
laughing at all the irony

The wolf-song keeps the Earth in tune
to pirouette in space-eternal
and walz forever with the moon
a show half-missed by the diurnal
