Swiping black lipstick across pale lips
Like ink across parchment
A black beacon
In a milky white sea

A subtle act of defiance
On an obedient child
young poet Sep 2014
I sat on the dew stricken grass
Soaking up the morning sun
The sweet fragrance of spring flowers filled my nostrils
The birds sung like a choir.
I could almost taste the spring air
Sickly sweet

I love mornings
For they are so quiet
Like a fresh start
Yesterday is in the past
A new day
A new me
*A new morning
young poet Sep 2014
Do I wish to put myself through the agony that is you
Your lips taunt
Ragged hair begging to be pulled
That smirk
Daring me to come closer
Falling for you
Beautiful chaos
young poet Sep 2014
Barking orders
I am a person to you know
Just because i'm young
Doesn't make me any less human
Although your word isn't law,
It may as well be

Respect is earned
Not given

You haven't been here long
But it feels like an eternity
I have fought your ruling
At every turn you shoot me down
Your everything I don't like
Everything that is wrong with this world

Teacher or Dictator

Music blasting through my veins
It always has to be humming in the back ground
Or I go nuts
Its like im trying to drown out my life
Dreary melodies swallow the day to day boredom

squealing
yelling
laughing
Smiling

happiness

All of these things people associate with you
But I have seen a different side of you
One that not many people see
You have not let me see this side by choice
I'm not even sure you know about this girl in side of you

I'm talking about the delicate little girl who is unsure of whats going on Around her

Every one talks about old souls
But you
You're a young soul

Your growing up in a world where maturity  is expected
Didn't you hear?
12 is the new 15

You're constantly hyperactive
Is it to hide how uncertain you are?
Or are you just going though a phase
Like all children do
about a girl

I said the I would write you something
But I didn't

Sorry

I could go on about how it's so poetic
That I let you down
But im not going to
Because its not poetic
It's not ironic
And this is definitely not a real poem
young poet Sep 2014
The heart wants
What the heart wants
And your heart wants me
It Could of been a love story
Alas
I long for another

friends

Its a beautiful word
And yet so ugly
So dark and full of despair

Some times
When I'm low
I think about what it would be like
If I loved you back

wouldn't it be lovely
simple
But I'm anything but simple.

You're A tiny spit fire
You're all ways laughing
Always smiling
Driving me to insanity is your favorite game
Im not really sure why you infuriate me
Maybe it's because you're so happy
All the time
So naive
so careless

You don't let the poison of this corrupted world
Taint your your sprit
Maybe
Just maybe its because I was like you
Before the world creeped up on me
and shattered my perfect image of this imperfect world

So
Young spit fire
Try to keep your naive soul intact
as long as you can
for a younger friend
young poet Sep 2014
You're not like anyone I've ever met
You stay in your shell
But somehow you trick others
Into thinking they're seeing the real you
Not the mask you wear

Shells are made to protect
Yours doesn't

When you're left in the playground
All by yourself
It cuts deep

I have a bad feeling
You're shells going to shatter when im not around to pick up the pieces,
And to tell you how perfect you are

Although you say you're fine
I see though your mask, your shell
You're just a lost kid trying to find where she fits in
for a friend

I gazed at my reflection in the grime covered mirror
knots of raven hair frame an ivory face
I was once told I was beautiful
that it was a gift
But i just wish
I blended in
My vibrant green eyes make being invisible a hopeless task.
this a little bit from a story im writing
young poet Oct 2014
Run girl, run
Away from everything
Away from his slurred threats
And his sweet apologies
Away from his drunken rampages
And his loving embrace

You cant stop loving him
No matter how many bruises he lays upon your skin

Because even with he's hands wrapped around your neck
He's still whispering I love you in your ear
young poet Sep 2014
You hold my secrets
And I hold yours
Thick as thieves
two peas in a pod
We're not in love
But I love you
What would I do with out you?
to be honest
I'd crumble
Break
Into little pieces
And that scares me

I was told that my happiness shouldn't rely on someone
I told my self that would never happen to me

But here I am
Praying that your always going to be around
young poet Oct 2014
Your unstable
And it's starting to worry me
No
Thats a lie
Ive been worried for months

You go up and down
From one extreme to another
Unstable

You think I don't notice
That your slipping away
Right though my fingers

Your standing right there
But where is your mind
That creative
Wonderful
Beautiful mind
Is it off in the clouds
Or is it some where dark and sinister
theres no way to know

Unless you tell me
Will you tell me?
young poet Sep 2014
Although you don't talk a whole lot
Your eyes tell your story
Your an open book to me

You're never quite living in reality
You're always
Thinking
dreaming
Wishing

You don't seem to realize how beautiful you are

How much you remind me of myself at a young age
And darling take it from someone who's had there best friend ripped away
Who didn't have anyone there when they needed someone the most

Wether you realize it or not
Theres always someone there
You just have to look
for a friend
