My perfect storm
Karly Brock Apr 2021
I fell for you,
your smile, your laugh
The notes that you'd pass

And I guess I didn't really know
How any of it was going to go,

I compared you to a flower
I talked about the hue of your eyes
The way you have me butterflies

I thought about the way you chose me
I fell in love with the idea of us
The idea of being loved

**** I was oblivious

I ignored the signs
The anger in your eyes
How hard you grabbed my thighs
You had to be in control
You took the word ‘no’ away from me
You took my voice away from me
You needed to be needed

And I thought it was love

You are the clouds from the storm
Your so beautiful, I get entranced
Taking pictures so I can't forget
You get darker and darker as the time passes
Only to let all your anger out
Violating your newest victim with the rain and the lightning
But once you finish, you diminish
Giving a beautiful rainbow to make me forget about the storm
My first :)
