"politically" poems
Back in the day, When I was a little whipper snapper in Leeds, We would go “chumping”, as we called it, for firewood, For weeks and weeks. Everyone built towering infernos, Ready for November Fifth: Bonfire Night. Some made effigies of the “evil” Guy Fawkes, Leader of the “Gunpowder Plot” And stood in the street saying “Penny for the Guy”. What a night! Roaring fire on a chill Winter night, Those flames burning your face. A World War Three Of Fireworks: Rockets, Catherine Wheels and bangers. Bangers to scare the girls. Kids painting pictures in the air With sparklers. And best of all, That yummy gingery Parkin cake: A taste I cannot put Into words. Oh and deep dark Treacle Toffee, Jacket potatoes, Roast chestnuts And Crunchie-like cinder toffee. It’s many a year since I went to a bonfire. Politically correct firework displays Are more the modern thing. Seems strange to burn the effigy Of a man who had the sense To try to blow parliament up – Especially a Yorkshire Man. Ha ha. But then I read that good Religious reasons are behind This bonfire Celebration: Those flames are orange After all. Not wishing to create divisions Anywhere in the world, It’s still good to see traditions Being maintained. Let those fires and fireworks keep rising, Constantly emerging from the shadows Of Halloween. Paul Butters © PB 27\10\2018. Written at the request of Stephen Chapman. “Treacle toffee” added later, with “jacket potatoes” and “cinder toffee” added on 31\10\18. "Roast chestnuts" added 18\11.

**** Man
Perplexed people of a politically polluted land, Are uncertain of who they truly are. Sons supporting freedom's fight, fathers seem lost, Seeking meager gains with no gain in power. Subjugation and forced order is in play, Forgotten the episodes of cold blooded ****** Rapes, intimidation and tormented nights, All ignored, for they are not our daughters or mothers. No concern given to our neighbors strife? Our humanity we sold, for positions in this land. Strengthened the corrupted power at play, Full of anarchy and devoid of mercy. The foibles in name of government and development, Oh Lord!Fill our fellows hearts with compassion. Open their eyes to the inadequacies, Bring our nation back to consciousness. ©Perveiz Ali

I can be you, or I can be them I can be she, or I can be him but why be a con artist of someone else like a shadow to my best friend, when I can be my own person, a unique creation created in the image of God but representin my own reflection because I don't wanna see you, them, she, or him in the mirror I wanna see me through my own eyes, 20/20 vision, but clearer but the more I conform, the image of someone else draws nearer and I begin to lose sight of myself, look back in the mirror, and see myself in the rear a shadow to another figure, a copy of a personality livin' out another person's dreamed out reality copying what they think, and succumbing to conformity but that ain't me.... what you see visually and how I appear physically is what makes me comfortable, that's why I'm an independent, politically I don't follow the norms and rules of what's most accepted socially the only commandments I live by are the ones given Biblically I ain't  the best saint though, I mean I do sin every day but the only one I wanna copy is Jesus Christ, in every possible way on the other hand, Satan is out there, trynna tempt me on how to act and even what words I say he's out offering me drinks, but I reply, "I'm okay" cause I don't care if "everyone else is doin' it" I just live how I like to live, that's what makes me a true non-conformist I dress how I wish and not because it's in style I keep my hair big, I do whatever makes me smile I'm not trynna impress you or fit into your clique I don't give women pick-up lines and act like I'm slick I'm me, just me, no facades, just real and if you can't accept that, then move forward but don't steal the things that make me special, from my poems to my appeal so don't try to change me and keep my uniqueness concealed I could care less about your thoughts and any of your judgements I refuse to give your words power, I can make your points become pointless I'm not trynna be harsh, I just love to be different I wanna be an original and keep my vibe realistic not a second you, but a first me, no counterfeit I try to keep up with what God said in Matt 26 verse 41, the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak so pray not to give into temptation and stay on your feet I encourage us to keep our standards and what makes us unique and accept anyone else who doesn't wanna repeat everything you say, and everything you do sometimes it's the people that are different that come off the most true because they're not sayin or actin' in ways that you approve they're given you their honest opinion, you should keep them closest to you don't conform, forget what people want you to be just be yourself, not a copy of reality TV.

Happy Women's Day
It is not wrong to be white and to have dreadlocks Though, you may look like a pleb but you offend me not Nor would it offend a black rastafarian man of a temperate manner I don't know any women with white skin and straight hair that get offended by afro-caribbean women wearing a straight weave You're all just too soft now, you're all just pet peaves Stop getting offended on behalf of other people that don't even take offence Excuse me, whilst I build a fence around myself hombre Not to keep me here but to keep you at bay Cultural appropriation doesn't exist Cultural misappropriation doesn't exist You're all just champagne socialists You should get over it Yes, you mate The one that thinks he's above everyone and must decide what is politically correct and whose life matters In the end all this is is a series of cultural exchanges and we're all wading through **** Face it.

Anwar Ibrahim Wrongly Accused
We the citizens, who live as refugees, We keep earning & see if our life is turning, To the price rise, we lose savings, Still we remain rock-bottom in standard of living. We belong to the middle class, Whose life always a breakable thin glass. Our life remains completely unsettle, Every second, life tests our mettle. Life chases us with pressure, failure and useless lecture, We are nurtured with a fear of future, Happiness remains just a leisure, Live with the unsecure & unsure present for a secure future. We keep us busy and function, We fear, when there arrives a function, Towards happiness, we run as a pilgrim, For the corporates, we become a mere victim. We run like an athlete for salary, food and target, For this globalized world, we are just a market, Like hungry dogs, we wait for increments, We keep running with bitter disappointments. We live in own house, only in our dreams, Our hearts cry with hopeless screams, Failures remain our tutors, Inability has turned us the irrecoverable debtors. Our appearance has a rich look, We have untold hidden burdens, That keep us shook, Keeps us forbidden and fear-ridden. Low class think us rich, High class always want us to be their ***** Politically neglected by the rulers, Economically exploited by the rich powers. We exhaust ourself for subsistence, We remain victorious and satisfied only in our existence, We lose our life to sustain in competence, We run our life with a mere persistence. More than the high class and low class, we suffer, Our lives never progressed as governments differ, All see low class with empathy and sympathy, To our difficulties, we are looked with apathy. On rich, we are not jealous, Towards our aim, we are zealous. Never think we are nothing, We truly have nothing to lose. We take risks to make history, Our path is nothing less than a mystery, You never allow us to come up, But we are not going to give up. Hello High class, Never pretend to live like us, to exploit us, Gone are the days, we remained fools, You will stand a day as the super intelligent fools. Before, we are hungry for food, Now, we are hungry to rule, Before, we feared to live, Now, we are ready to win the world. We are nothing! We are nothing We have nothing to lose! We won’t stop until having nothing could do nothing to us.

John Lennon Can you imagine the world if he wasn’t shot? Do you think his believers will finally see The bullshitting hypocrite behind all that peace? “All you need is love” sang by a guy Who went out of his way to be cruel to his wife Used to ***** about his dad doing the disappearing act Until he did it himself, the silly **** “Imagine no possessions” Bold words from a guy who had a lot of obsessions “Love is real, real is love” Says the guy who’d rather have two lovers at once His best hits was with the Fab Four His solo hits are like seesaws Yoko Ono had some hits By him, behind closed doors she took it Some people see him as some sort of Jesus But truth is, he was politically clueless The egotistical, ignorant little poseur Who’d rather stay in bed until it’s all over Did he change the world? Did he **** Nothing but a demigod, high in everyone’s mind I’m really glad he died in his prime Just wished that ****** Bono was next in line

I cancelled my bank overdraft Cut my cards up in a small pile Actually, it was quite large you know And this act made me smile Just deal with cash from here on out Never buy more than I need It released a weight off of my shoulders And deep down I felt freed fiscally conservative financially responsible My nation cannot do it Without me as an example No more fees for paying late If I need it I pay cash Budgets I will follow And spending...that I'll slash Can you imagine if a nation Took this simple thought to mind Just pay with what we make from tax And leave what we can't afford behind No missiles, and no foreign debt We're just beholding to ourselves It's politically reprehensible But, we owe it to ourselves fiscally conservative financially responsible My nation cannot do it Without me as an example No more fees for paying late If I need it I pay cash Budgets I will follow And spending...that I'll slash No government agendas To trade for that we can't afford It would ***** the nations bankers And make the economists quite bored To be responsible for our actions We are taught right from the start don't spend the money you don't have Well, to me...that's really smart fiscally conservative financially responsible My nation cannot do it Without me as an example No more fees for paying late Spending I will slash My budget I will follow And from now on pay just cash

Fiscal Conservatism (In answer to a challenge from Dark Artisan)
1. Look! two butterflies entangled in the thick of love, try extricating, flapping wings girl, forget you're a doctor, let love resolve it. 2. A strawberry touches her lips, astonished I stop eating my peach; where does the fruit end, her lips begin? 3. Your dad is conservative, mother is moderately appreciative, every move of amour, has to be  politically sensitive. 4. On this bikini your body prattles, a language unintelligible through, I am all ears, darling, make your body speak, the lingo it truly appreciates. 5. Water nymph, your bodyhugging dress simultaneously does myriad things, talks erotica, tries seduction, makes me a fool fumbling for words.

some times i feel like i got ******* on the deal like democracy, politically is mocking me, that's how i feel fake news in times of need empty promises don't feed the needy getting left behind pride getting pushed to the side empathy and cold hard cash don't coincide instead of big steps forward we are falling behind, in a time, where we, have no time for wasting time generations of generations getting left behind after generations of generations, its like genocide our values dont match our history told from either side we should have learned something instead we just let it ride playing games with our future using the hands of time chasing our heads with tails its only a matter of times before we catch up with reality and it blows our minds

Dedicated to The Foo Fighters
[Police were called to a New Jersey school after a student accused another student of racism for calling brownies brownies. In defense of the police no one was arrested] Brownies are sweet, tasty and brown, but New Jersey’s schools hear this with a frown. Color’s off color, don’t you know-- mention it, and the Thought Police will have you in tow. Blondies are sweet and a bit greasy-- a tasty snack, not a girl who’s easy. But better call them cake, or you’ll be dissed as someone who is completely sex-ist. Anything you say can and will be held against you-- mot just by the cops, but by those you thought you knew. It’s the days of Stalin, or “1984” from Orwell; better watch what you say; they might be listening in the stairwell. Once we all worshipped the First Amendment. Now "politically correct" has gone beyond heavy-handed. Use only approved phrases, or outcast will be your fate-- Political Correctness destroyed a country once great.

Creatively wit, artistically gifted - politically inclined to design any archetype of freedom and how a woman should hold her head up high, like the almighty God she is. Able to disfigure the illusions and misconception that the media and other forms of capitalistic control, teach her fellow sisters and Queen. Prove to them that not only are they more than this 'sex symbol', And being blind to this facts, just helps perpetuate the conditioning of self-hate, that you're not light enough or too dark - you're just something that helps the sun shine on their fare skin. And you're ****** is worth nothing more than it was compensated fo' 450 years ago, to birth being that yet again go through the cycle of supremacy. But you say, **** ALL THAT - I'm a Queen, GOD IS SHE. So kiss my fat *** and my appletree. Because me and my sisters sill no longer accept your misogynistic disrespect and immoral, emotional neglect. Your referendums for ****** favors in exchange what is due me, ****** freedom and freedom to do whatever the **** I please. And ever since I saw those defining characteristics in thee, Since, I've always respected you as my Queen.

"Queen"
I think the subject which will be of most importance politically is Mass Psychology... Its importance has been enormously increased by the growth of modern methods of propaganda. Although this science will be diligently studied, it will be rigidly confined to the governing class. The populace will not be allowed to know how its convictions are generated.

Bertrand Russell on Mass Psychology
Being politically correct , just to be in the rat race, Helping a deserving candidate lose out on countless opportunities Oh !! what a disgrace . Political debates in a news chat room Speakers galore , reasoning insane ... Pointing fingers like Mumma  'yeh '  Mumma ' woh '       Mama  Makosa.... I wanna have a 'Samosa' And the blah blah blah .... The news reader in fits Calls out,  time out .. in the chat room . Politics in life Fire in the mountain run run run Don't stop , run ... Take a right , a left .... no U Turn . Watch out ... don't trip... Run. **MJ , playing out loud .... "All I wanna say that they don't really care about us ...."** Lost the lyrics.........?? **MJ again .... "Heal the world make a better place for you and for me and the entire Human Race..."** Time to turn around Hit the ground Can't let the fire wipe out the beautiful village people and the flora fauna. Face it finish it !! Politics not my favourite cup of tea Might as well savour some green tea .

Political Apathy
By: Cedric McClester In a world That’s so politically correct What are we to call ‘em Thugs -  or criminal suspects Perhaps it’s something else That we should project Maybe our language Needs to be checked Must urban youth Be marginalized As a result of their misdeeds Or can we recognize That they have certain needs They haven’t realized We read the news feeds And then we demonize Is it a riot Or an insurrection Maybe it requires Some more introspection Before we decide It’s their predilection Because the evidence Leads us in that direction I don’t know Who it was that stated What poverty often does Is underrated And victims of poverty Are often hated Though the larger implications Are complicated © Copyright 2015, Cedric McClester.  All rights reserved.

They say we exist in rivers of fate Predetermine pathways we are imprisoned in Positions we were born for And to disturb or ignore such strings Would undermine the order of those things I say we are free form individuals With endless paths before and between us That the reason they want to bind us to fate Is because they want to blind us To the weight of our own power To makes us wait for divine intervention Instead of having us pay attention To our intentions and the intention of others The wealthy and religious classes Want to politically castrate men and women Till we are to impotent with diffidence Unable to make any sort of difference But that framework doesn’t fit this World that we seven billion strong have been gifted with We have more power then we know And it only grows when we explode And show it to everyone else

The Empowerment
Political correctness has reached a brand new low It has now reached good and evil And has changed things down below The devil is still the devil, That much has not changed But, the food is all organic And the meat is all free range I didn't know the changes 'till I made a plea last week To sell my soul for increased wealth And other things I seek I expected a commotion When the devil came from hell But, there was nothing quite so flashy When someone...rang my bell I answered thinking nothing much I looked outside to check I am wary of the Mormons and Jehovahs on my deck I looked outside and there I saw A man dressed all in grey A poll taker, election geek Let's see what he may say "Good day, kind sir, I come to you" "You wanted to be rich" I thought he isn't from no bank of mine He said "Sir, just call me Mitch" "Mitch", I said, "I don't know how" "you'd know I want to sell my soul" He told me that was why he's here To get a deal done was his goal I said, "why use the door bell" "Why not the cloud of smoke" He said "with budget cuts' "Pyrotechnics made us   broke" "The PC folks got wind of us" "of our tricks and double speak" "Now, you sign away your soul to us" "but, you can get out within the week" "We can't go by the same old name" "Hell is not allowed" "We're H...E...double hockey sticks" "Try saying that aloud" "It doesn't have the forcefulness" "That the other word once had" "we can call it heck, if we're in a pinch" "You can see, it's got quite sad" "The contracts are all readable" "You don't have to sign in blood" "With *** and STD's" "It may as well be mud" "A soul still has some meaning" "But, as you yourself can see" "The devil stays at home now" "And sends his minions out...like me" "I have a small brochure for you" "You have choices, please pick six" "It's more a club, a health resort" "In H...E...double sticks" "I can't get out, I'm stuck for good" "I signed my deal before" "The PC people got us good" "And now...we use the door" "Please look over the contract" "Take your time, and read it close" "You'll find it is a real good read" "With language, non verbose" "If you should have some questions" "change your mind,  or want to tour" "Just call me on my cell phone "I'm at star66 extension 4" "I'm sure you'll still come down to us" "It's not so bad, you'll see" "Just call me when you're ready" "You've got time, now we're PC"
