You look at me and you frown in jealousy. Yeah, you secretly know I have swag. Pants a little low, black and red shirt that says “Sit down and learn from the Master,” and a matching hat that states what you already know- “FRESH” You taste the bitterness of your words as you whisper lies to my back. Yeah, you secretly know I don’t care. Pants a little low, red and yellow shirt that says “My swoosh is bigger than yours” and a matching hat of who you think I resemble- Superman You hear the high pitched hissing that I’m doing well and hope that I fail. Yeah, you secretly know I’ll succeed. Pants a little low, black and blue shirt that says “Just Did It” and a matching hat that reminds you of what you need to do- “OBEY” You touch my strong shaped shoulders with yours and utter no apology. Yeah, you’re secretly freaking out with excitement. Pants a little low, blue and red shirt that says “Don’t Bro Me If You Don’t Know Me” and a matching hat with the best known bickering buddies- Tom and Jerry You smell my confidence in the aroma of chocolate axe and you pinch your nose. Yeah, you’re secretly going to buy it later. Pants a little low, black and white shirt that says “Don’t sweat my swag” and a matching hat that proclaims my feelings for you- “I <3 Haters” and under the brim it says why- “MOTIVATION”

drenched in a sea of waveforms, dancing on the ebb of a digital ocean its crests crowned with sound pitched upon amplitude tides       their volume compressed; reverberating through glass speakers mere dots in the sands i hear cadence... within the music of your speech how can it be, such a many word written, yet forgotten, indelibly on your beach? if we could interpret the oceans what stories would its sea speak? of its corruption? treasures unreturned to lost and found? or of its time to give up the dead, or of the angels that fell to its ground? © Qwey.ku

The only proper way to be a conversationalist is to convince yourself that you’re boring. If you can strip back the hard shell of the ego, and look down on yourself from the eyes of an apathetic God, you will likely (and hopefully) see just how boring you really are. It isn’t a sin to be boring, in fact there are many advantages to honest self-depreciation. The main advantage, is the way you approach a conversation. “Interesting” people find it difficult to silence the affected score-keeper that dominates their internal dialogue and ruins any chance of an honest and engaged conversation. It is the voice that reminds you to show interest with your body language, and keep a dumb happy gaze laser pointed into their eyes. This dialogue is obsessed with authenticity and genuine conversation, and therefore a natural sociopath. Luckily, you are the stunning definition of boredom, an extracted dictionary cut-out of un-interesting, and nobody could possibly give a rats-ass what you have to think—least of all the Voice that controls the inner-dialogue. That Voice has packed it up to find a more interesting vessel…maybe the person standing across from you in conversation.
Because you are so boring, and they are the Oxford personification of intellect and fascination, you should pay careful attention to what they say—no time to worry about how they’re perceiving your reaction to whatever it is they’re saying. You are too busy to notice what sort of body language you may or may not be using to validate their half of the conversation. Instead, your time is spent carefully hanging on their every word, digesting it and projecting the whole bit into a colourful scene in your imagination. Instead, you’re too lost in the excitement of their infinitely more interesting life and impossible wealth of knowledge offered to you with each word that they speak. Instead, you are actually listening to the words that come out of their mouth and not the ones that speak to you from the inside of your own mind. This is what it means to be in conversation. This was the point of our social nature. And in a world of needy social-media junkies grabbing at the cuffs of potential ‘followers’ and ‘likes’ and trendy passer-by’s, the last thing anyone needs is the high-pitched whine of another “interesting” millennial. Lucky for you, you boring sack of yawning sloths, that you aren’t interesting too.

<Loud as you can say it> I am Outlaw!          -call me Pirate! I live such freedom,          all souls admire it! The awful God,         has judged my soul, Weighs his measure,           I'll pay my toll! <In a high-pitched voice> The sailor's way,         path unknown, Stars are clouded,         nothing shown? The sea's are high,         a storm is here, Davey Jones' Locker,         my home is near. <Loud again, yell it> There is no heaven,         there is no hell, Life on seas,         the seas they swell, Fish scales on arms,          scales on my legs, Heart born free,          dread-locked and dregs! I am Outlaw!           -call me Pirate! Lost lives redeemed,           some should admire it, The ship upended,           all hands to drown, In Davey Jones' Locker,           a peaceful sound... <In a high-pitched voice> The sailor's way,         path unknown, Stars are clouded,         nothing shown? My time has ended,         fate is near, Davey Jones' Locker,         my death is here. <Loud again, yell it> I am Outlaw!          -call me Pirate! A man of valor,           some do admire it. I am Outlaw!           -call me Pirate! A dreadful life,            though some desire it. I am Outlaw!           -call me Pirate! To Davey Jones' Locker,           my deeds require it. I am Outlaw!           -call me Pirate! I AM OUTLAW!           -CALL ME PIRATE! I am Outlaw!!           -call me Pirate! My life on the ocean,           my God inside it.

I came only to watch one person eyes open and peeled. The Blonde Bombshell was her name and O, what power did she wield! One look and the explosion of her beauty could soften any heart of steel. I knew nothing of softball besides the name, but the blonde pitcher inspired me to change my game. As I watched she seemed nervous on the softball mound. Her first few pitches practically never left the ground. The game continued and she pitched better in each inning. Each throw as beautiful as she was and secured her team in winning. She looked more confident as she began to smile. Sending each batter back to the bench crying like a child. As I prepared to leave I waved my farewell. To a blonde beauty who looked and pitched exceptionally and gracefully well.

The Blonde Bombshell
Don't push them You're moulding them instead of letting them flow You're stunning their movement, you're not letting them grow I like being pushed I am superior and better than my peers They've taken over my body and they are the ones who steer Is this wrong? Is this right? Is this my desired flight The Devils are pitched on both shoulders I can't take over until I've grown older

Time passing - Is not the tick, tick, tick, of the movies. It is a barely audible, high-pitched ringing in your ears. It is the low thrum of a distant compressor somewhere. It is the sound of the long shadows brushing against the wall. Time passing - It is the fabric rustle of changing your position in a chair. A cat padding along the oak floorboards of the hallway. An electric cube powering a computer. The sizzle of speakers turned on with nothing playing. Time passing - I hear it from a silent telephone, From the idle doorknob and hinges. From wooden steps leading to my front door. Time passing - It is all of this, And nothing. So much nothing.

The Sound It Makes
His Down's Syndrome makes His age a tough guess, I'll Say eight to ten. Wide eyes on machines, Ice cream dripping on the Pavement outside the Construction site. *I wanna work like this when I grow up,* he says in Young enthusiasm to a mother Whose eyes well up with Gratitude when I approach And kneel down in front of Him. *So you want a job, Buddy?* I ask him with a Wink. He suddenly remembers His ice cream and bites into It shyly. Nods, glancing at the Tools in my belt, the scratches On my arms, the brick wall I've been attacking with a Wacker jackhammer. Nods Again. *Well, I'll see you in a Few years,* I say with another Wink, this time to his mother, Who'd look her young age if Her eyes weren't as tired, *But you can start with this And get some practice.* I hand Him my Stanley Fat Max Hammer. His ice cream Hits the ground as he Recieves it with both hands, Looking to his mother for Confirmation that it's ok. Oh, it is. She mouths a Thank you SO much... They walk away, his chatter High pitched and fading Around the corner. And I Head over to the foreman to Report that I lost my hammer. Don't ever employ me. I can work a good game, but I'm too soft around little heroes.

Arriving at the entrance of the ancient temple the white rabbit covered his ears. Shattering glass from a high-pitched vibration he leaped away from a falling chandelier. “I must find our beloved Harvest Moon." The white rabbit said to himself. With stern affirmation, a dark fog churned then into the vortex he was consumed. He stopped at the entrance of the temple courtyard; everyone was frozen like statues. "What has she done to all of you?" He cried, then pulled out a magic rune deflecting a hail of daggers. The white rabbit looked up at a floating cocoon and saw the shadow witch hovering over the temple roof. Pale skin and veins glowing red, she was draped in a black tattered robe. With a sinister look and a Crown of Fire on her head the shadow witch spoke. “White rabbit, white rabbit the Harvest Moon is dead!" The white rabbit took leaped back then cried out. "This cannot be so!" Then he pulled from his bag a magic scroll and read the words written in gold. "I ask the wind to protect me from this dark magic despair" Then he conjured a circle of trees in a water globe. The witch streaked across the air and swung around her jet-black hair. Then she commanded an infestation of spiders to climb inside the trees and explode. Barricading himself inside a magic bubble he was protected from the onslaught of shrapnel. The white rabbit grabbed the water globe, leaped into the air, and disappeared in a puff of amber smoke. The shadow witch pulled out a blood-red pearl and murmured an incantation. "Clever white rabbit, I shall find you in the invisible world" The white rabbit snapped his fingers then magically appeared behind her. He snatched off the Crown of Fire from her head then whispered the following words. "How dare you use dark magic on me!" She jumped in fear spinning around, then summoned a devil hound. The white rabbit raised the water globe and merged it with the crown. A shock wave of light pulsated in the air then the witch menacingly yelled. “Take him down!” The white rabbit saw in his peripheral view the hound lunge to attack. But he was too cunning for this, with a symbolic wave and a vigorous slash the hound was severed in two. The shadow witch glared, then cried out. “We shall meet again white rabbit; I promise you I'll be back!” Then she summoned a fiery cauldron and vanished with a blinding flash. The white rabbit ran inside the temple and approached the Harvest Moon. He stared with eyes full of tears and sorrow at a beautiful princess with hair long and blue. A beautiful creature he so desired, the love he had for her was true. He opened his bag and pulled out the globe which was now encased with the Crown of Fire. "I brought you a gift from the shadow witch" Then he smashed the globe and with a flash of light, the Crown of Fire was finally free. The white rabbit held the princess and spoke. "I have always served you because I love you and now, I command you to come back to life!" Then he placed the Crown of Fire on her head igniting a ring of light. The white rabbit looked down to see the Harvest Moon Princess opening both of her eyes.

I have been in the moon In search of love all noon Searched through deserts Even through garden of Eden. I have Searched beneath the sea Travelled wide even to overseas Still could not find love. I went to Vatican Even to Mecca Driven through the romantic sites of Paris Bath in the Brazilian beaches Flown across the Atlantic Pitched my tenth for few days on the Antarctic Spend some more on the arctic Still I saw no love. All I saw was lust Angels with broken hearts, Rotten roses, Withered lilies, Death faiths and monsters on beautiful faces. I saw bullets in church offering boxes Just wedded on number plates of ambulances. I saw wars in diversity Pain and mourning crowding all cities The devil celebrating the dead of peace. I saw three wise men Where went love, I asked them They said love has been nailed on the cross Buried with trust They are heading to Galilee To await his return. I followed with dreams I met many returning with smiles of frustration From where I was going with pregnancy of expectations. We arrived to the scene Like a nightmare, I witnessed higher sins I saw men taking pleasures with men Some with animals, some women with women. Gun everybody walking sticks People feeding on people flesh With human blood the thirsting ones quench their thirst. Is this where love is expected to return? The wise men retorted, Yes, the saints have been raptured And his seven years  reign has just began. Then in a flash, I remembered that I have been taught Taught about this dreadful end I had also taught kids Under trees at nights Just to threaten them to live right. What I thought was a mare threat or a fallacy Has been awaken against my fate in reality. Oh! We are among the leftovers Left to reprove ourselves or be doomed forever.

i only write in the middle of the night while the stars watch me waste ink of blood dripping from the veins of my brain i only write in the middle of the night while the moon guards me as i write the message of my soul to the universe solely dug from my heart and suddenly everything comes back to reality the sun sets high illuminating the pitched black sky and i wonder, will i ever enjoy the daylight while carrying the burdens i hold inside a.t.

a letter to the universe
From the woodlands of Madagascar To the highlands of Ethiopia Dwell nine species of lovebirds. Their genus name is Agapornis, From the Greek agape (love) and ornis (birds). The French call them Les inséperables While affection between compatible pairs Can be a joy to behold, Lovebirds can be quite territorial And will defend their nest. Sexually dimorphic they mate for life. Like all parrots they need to be well Socialized and taken care of. They  are very vocal, making loud High-pitched noises, especially In the early morning time. Stocky little birds With short blunt tails You can hold them In the palms of your hands. They love to snuggle, They love to preen. Happy birds: together.

Wanting to learn the jungle from the mattress, I set it outside, surrounded, by a mosquito net pitched unto two palm trees, in winter to avoid coconuts falling by the southern terrace; you should've joined me In February, I can tell you I never slept for carnaval.

she’s the girl who sets a room on fire with laughs or real flame, and she stands in that same flame; ranting about herself with blissful intention: aries. she’s the girl who mows the lawn all day to throw a memorable party on perfectly pitched grass; but then spends the entire party with that one guy on that one roof, just the two of them: taurus. she’s the girl who ***** you fiercest only to then display sudden and crippling bouts of madness; she’s one of a kind, or two of a kind, and she means some kind of love: gemini. she’s the girl who you fall for so easily, and she falls for you so easily, and everything is a dream; but a dream transforms, seasons transform, and the peopled cities with them: cancer. she’s the girl who steals the show every time, and she leans on you when she’s tired and lonely; she reads science fiction books and tells you all the endings, strange planets fixtured in her dreams: leo. she’s the girl who thinks too much, drinks too much, and weighs you for all your words; but words are her demise as she digs her arms deeper into the dirt to catch that feeling: virgo. she’s the girl who piles a shrine of shiny occult objects and spools through men like shiny other objects; she has a beautiful heart, holy or not, but without a doubt, entirely stylish: libra. she’s the girl who doesn't believe a ******* thing you say but kisses you harder when you say it; she takes you up the hill to her folks and they sacrifice you for blood mana: scorpio. she’s the girl who knows you best and knows even better she’s far beyond the depths of your league; she has deafening dreams, with or without you in them; for ruins she will climb or create: sagittarius. she’s the girl who buys the popcorn and eats the popcorn and sulks on the couch while tonguing kernels out of her teeth; she will never truly love you, just the idea of you: capricorn. she’s the girl who saves your life with a tracheotomy when you nearly die on that plum street seed; she will leave you for a another man, a man with a good rifle and a warm little tent: aquarius. she’s the girl who sees synchronicity in all things, all life, all dreams and emanations; she will love you until the smell of mexico drags her away upon a neverending weekend: pisces.

she’s the girl who sets a room on fire with laughs or real flame, and she stands in that same flame; ranting about herself with blissful intention: aries. she’s the girl who mows the lawn all day to throw a memorable party on perfectly pitched grass; but then spends the entire party with that one guy on that one roof, just the two of them: taurus. she’s the girl who ***** you fiercest only to then display sudden and crippling bouts of madness; she’s one of a kind, or two of a kind, and she means some kind of love: gemini. she’s the girl who you fall for so easily, and she falls for you so easily, and everything is a dream; but a dream transforms, seasons transform, and the peopled cities with them: cancer. she’s the girl who steals the show every time, and she leans on you when she’s tired and lonely; she reads science fiction books and tells you all the endings, strange planets fixtured in her dreams: leo. she’s the girl who thinks too much, drinks too much, and weighs you for all your words; but words are her demise as she digs her arms deeper into the dirt to catch that feeling: virgo. she’s the girl who piles a shrine of shiny occult objects and spools through men like shiny other objects; she has a beautiful heart, holy or not, but without a doubt, entirely stylish: libra. she’s the girl who doesn't believe a ******* thing you say but kisses you harder when you say it; she takes you up the hill to her folks and they sacrifice you for blood mana: scorpio. she’s the girl who knows you best and knows even better she’s far beyond the depths of your league; she has deafening dreams, with or without you in them; for ruins she will climb or create: sagittarius. she’s the girl who buys the popcorn and eats the popcorn and sulks on the couch while tonguing kernels out of her teeth; she will never truly love you, just the idea of you: capricorn. she’s the girl who saves your life with a tracheotomy when you nearly die on that plum street seed; she will leave you for a another man, a man with a good rifle and a warm little tent: aquarius. she’s the girl who sees synchronicity in all things, all life, all dreams and emanations; she will love you until the smell of mexico drags her away upon a neverending weekend: pisces.

The rainbow is still black and white, Pitched in various hues, Vibrant black and sullen whites, Blending with the blackness inside. Replete with broken trusts, Reflecting a thousand shattered pieces, Fading out like these emotions, It never lived the light of dawn.

Black Rainbow.
I'm a Disney princess A pretty, pretty actress Sought by handsome princes and by ugly wicked witches My hair is blonde and shiny and smooth or soft and long and fragrant and strong I'm just like my hair Shining bright like a flare In a world of unfair I'd get even and square (Grr, grr!) 'Cause I'm a Disney princess My skin is white and lovely So are my eyes and my teeth And everything about me Because I am perfect I'm created to win I'm the hero of your dreams Armed with my tears and high-pitched screams Sometimes I'd only sleep Then there comes his charming kiss It's hot, it's sweet, it's salty Thanks for waking me up! Sometimes I'd sneak on a ball Dancing 'til I hear my midnight call And leave one of my silver slippers For my curious prince to ponder Then he'd seek and find me And we'll live happily ever after! Wait, why am I here In this sad forgotten tower? With my evergrowing golden hair Can't even find a single stair I wanna go down I wanna go down so badly I wanna go down so deeply Somebody please help me Please help me go down And my wish is granted: A prince had just appeared He pulled down my slender hair Saved me from my lonely despair But “ouch! That hurts!” No it didn't! I'm just trying to flirt! (Wink, wink!) 'Cause I'm a Disney princess I can have all that I want I can make all those mistakes And fix them with a magical wand! My life is a dazzling fairy tale Packed with curses and magic spells Who really cares about moral lessons If everyone's happy like a bunch of morons? Because I'm a Disney princess! Everybody loves me Whatever I do You still wanna be me! Curtain closes, bells go chimes My story ain't over, it's just begun Countdown starts, five times the fun Four times the thrill, the Evil Queen awakes Thrice made the chill, the dragon is unleashed Twice turn the pages, here come the mages Once upon a time, I'm a Disney princess!

****** does that to you... Phone rings, It's 1 a.m. Private number. I know what that means. "Hello" I say. His voice is shakey, He chokes out the words. "Mom, I just got arrested, I'm going to jail." I took a deep breath, Giving me time to think Of the right words to say. "Ok, I love you. Don't forget to tell them That your gonna be sick." ****** does that to you... "Mom, I should of listened to you. I'm sorry. Next time I will." How many next times, Thinking to myself. I can't count how many times he's been arrested, And sent to juvie or jail. We both knew this time it would be prison. ****** does that to you... "That's what you said last time. But you just keep running back to it. I know your sorry. No matter what, I will always love you. I am holding you right now baby boy." He cries even harder. "Mom I'm scared of getting sick. I really want a cigarette." 21 years old but he sounds like a 3 year old, With a high pitched whine. ****** does that to you... Last time I saw him he looked 35 And probably only weighed 110. Arms scarred with needle marks Infected sores throughout his body. Smelled of sweat and dumpsters Where he had been digging for food. I barely recognized him. Where had my son gone? He couldn't look me in the eye. ****** does that to you... L. Mack 6/17/18

****** does that to you...
I remember those rainy nights when I would lock myself in my room. Because I didn't want to become a victim of your hurtful words & fits of rage. Nothing was ever the way it was supposed to be when it came to us. & maybe it was better that way . Because in the end everything that was wrong for other people Was right for us But I left you And all that I had ever loved was taken away from me that night. The long, run out love letters The high pitched weeping filled voicemails . It made me realize That the endless yelling & countless fights Were all for not . & all trickled down to one more sweet love song I could no longer sing Because now It was no longer in my key.

Picnic Yeah
Does anyone remember when Baseball fields were full When you always saw a hundred kids When you drove by every school Pick-up games of baseball On every field you'd pass But now the only scrub that's there Is just overgrown, clumpy grass I drove on by a park today One that I used to play baseball on The backstop was all broken And the dugouts, they were gone The field was full of garbage Weeds and echos of the past I remembered times between the lines With a long forgotten cast "HEY MISTER...MOVE...WE'RE PLAYING HERE" "CAN'T YOU MOVE SO WE CAN PLAY?" "HEY BATTER, BATTER, SWING NOW BATTER" "YOU'LL NOT GET A HIT TODAY" I'd crossed into a baseball game One from many years before The ghosts of players long deceased Were still playing here some more I crossed back to the dugouts Stepped behind and they were gone But, as I stepped back to the old coaches box I could hear their haunting song "HEY BATTER, BATTER, BATTER, SWING" "WE WANT A PITCHER, NOT A BELLYITCHER" "HEY BATTER, BATTER, BATTER, SWING" "WE WANT A PITCHER, NOT A BELLYITCHER" I sat there watching the game take place On a field not worth a **** At least not in the present time Then a kid hit a grand slam He touched them all as he ran by I saw it plain as day The only thing I wished was that I could join them and play "HEY MISTER, STAND ON  HOME PLATE" "THEN COME WALK OUT TO THE MOUND" "WE KNOW YOU WANT TO JOIN US" "WE KNOW IT'S HALLOWED GROUND" I did the tasks directed I joined the players from ago And as I ran up to the rubber I went as fast as I could go I could feel myself get younger I didn't know if it was real But, they say as you get older You're just as young as you may feel I pitched two good strong innings Then the echoes chose to fade I knew it was just imagination Of long lost players I had made "COME BACK AGAIN TOMORROW" "YOU CAN THROW THAT PELLET KID!" "WE'VE GOT TO GET ON HOME NOW" and...go back...you know I did!

Wake me up I'm falling Stuttering and stalling With nowhere to run, and no place to hide A beast deep inside, Is rising Rise, like a tidal wave Rise, to every lie they gave Rise, for it is your time, To slay all these haters with power of rhyme Freedom of expression helps fight depression... Moment of silence On an empty stomach Then comes a rumble At the smell of apple pie crumble Moon is out of this world Annie is our favourite girl I hope no-one else sees this **And starts singing about my ***** ****** mind in a slaughter house Anti-Ducks about this life But with a Kiwi accent if I may Tis "Anti-Ducks about this life" We went outside, Still high Decided to munch and play games Forgot our phones outside Smash the boundaries, Tear down the walls Won't stop tearing Til' we seen Ben's ***** Break down barriers, Smack 'em down Walking past ducker-fuckers Delirious like a clown Smiling all the way With a crazy little laugh On this spectacular journey Into the past It's time to get to the end of this family rhyme We all pitched in with whatever we could find It's beautiful and grand, a real sight to see This Mafia family of mine It's our time our life Crazy running red lights Grand stand, stage band time to curtain call But it never ends, we fam! Poetic Mafia Family Collab
Mayday: two came to field in such wise : 'A daisied mead', each said to each, So were they one; so sought they couch, Across barbed stile, through flocked brown cows. 'No pitchforked farmer, please,' she said; 'May cockcrow guard us safe,' said he; By blackthorn thicket, flower spray They pitched their coats, come to green bed. Below: a fen where water stood; Aslant: their hill of stinging nettle; Then, honor-bound, mute grazing cattle; Above: leaf-wraithed white air, white cloud. All afternoon these lovers lay Until the sun turned pale from warm, Until sweet wind changed tune, blew harm : Cruel nettles stung her angles raw. Rueful, most vexed, that tender skin Should accept so fell a wound, He stamped and cracked stalks to the ground Which had caused his dear girl pain. Now he goes from his rightful road And, under honor, will depart; While she stands burning, venom-girt, In wait for sharper smart to fade.
