romeo is bleeding but not so as you'd notice he's over on 18hh street as usual lookin' so hard against the hood of his car and puttin' out a cigarette in his hand and for all the pachucos at the pumps at romeros paint and body they all seein' how far they can spit well it was just another night but how they're huddled in the brake lights of a 58 belair and listenin' to how romeo killed a sherrif his knife and they all jump when they hear the sirens but romeo just laughs and says all the racket in the world ain't never gonna save that coppers *** he'll never see another summertime for gunnin' down my brother and leavin' him like a dog beneath a car without his knife and romeo says hey man gimme a cigarette and they all reach for their pack and frankie lights it for him and pats him on the back and throws bottle at a milk truck and as it breaks he grabs his nuts and they all know they could be just like romeo if they only had the guts but romeo is bleeding but nobody can tell and he sings along with the radio with a bullet in his chest and he combs back his fenders and they all agree its clear that every thing is cool now that romeos here but romeo is bleeding and he winces now and then and he leans against the car doors and feels the blood in his shoes and someones crying in the phone booth at the 5 points by the store romeo starts his engine and wipes the blood off the door and he brodys through the signal with the radio full blast leavin' the boys there hikin' up there chinos and they all try to stand like romeo beneath the moon cut like a sickle and they're talkin' now in spanish about there hero but romeo is bleeding as he gives the man his ticket and he climbs to the balcony at the movies and he'll die without a wimper like every heros dream just like an angel with a bullet and cagney on the screen

This is for the residents who remember And for the transplants who Have yet to be informed But have got an inkling Burque has gone from Bustling to busted And back again Growing up in the 80’s I learned about the Varying degrees of “sick” As my dad pointed out The pekid pachucos perusing Pharmacy isles Attempting to purchase Cough syrup with codeine In the evenings Driving home down Central I would ceremoniously Count hookers My parents would Precariously pack heat In the trunk of our car Or even in my mom’s special ***** pack With the hidden compartment For her .38 snub nose Because you never know Who will be in your home When you arrive That’s a given When flop houses are Interwoven with prime real estate And barrio boundaries Border the bourgeois’ bungalows And Huning’s Castles And residents rarely recognize Or realize That aside from the locals The European Jews Was the only group gutsy enough To settle here And create commerce Despite risks of being raided By Apaches And they reaped the benefits Off Roma and Marquette Because the rewards Turned out to be greater than The risks And up North Where Sephardic turned Crypto Conversions to Catholicism Kept the Messiah’s spirit alive But in basements They still did Chi fives! I was saddened in middle school When I realized That many of our parents Were too ashamed of our roots To teach us Spanish And our Schools ****** so severely That most of us Didn’t learn English either But hey – All you need to Communicate while cruising Are cat calls And the thumping boom Of the bass in the tubes And the hydraulic drop When they hit The hot spots From Tingley, Kit Carson and Central to Copper Each kid dreams that His ride Will be the show stopper I could rant and rave And rattle off for days But bottom line – We have the most Curious state With mysterious qualities And in-depth histories But most of us are More concerned with Bud Light And Biscochitos Con Manteca Because it just tastes great!

She is so firme in her style in her life. She comes from a familia Pachucos and Pachuca she's living in culture. She's a firme hyna in the streets in EL Chuco. Every Vato riding in there Ranfla playing those oldies rola in the radio. She was raised and taught by her Jefita and by her Jefito and specially by her grandparents of the ways to be the perfect loyal honest Street Smart Pachuca. She lived in the varrio that were so many winos and tecatos. Mostly everyday in the early hours in the morning afternoon to the evening till the sun sets almost 24/7 there is always somebody getting hurt and there is always tira around the Varrio. The nights with smell like grifo. She becoming a True Firme Pachuca she is also aguas in the Varrio. She never back down from a fight but she never lost a fight. She always had young vatos and zafado ruco always looking at her and always trying to ask her out on dates. So kindly say no thank you but she always had eyes for a younger Vato same age as her. She was all in love with this one Vato. This Vato was well-known he had the baddest Bomba in EL CHUCO. Every Sunday she'll go to the cruise on Texas Street known as The Heritage Cruise where all the lowriders and all the Pachucos go and represent. Every time she sees this Young Vato her eyes would light up the night sky. She loved his Style so much she never said a word to anybody she was so in love with him. He had noticed her so many times the way she dresses the way she walks the way she talks the way she represents as a classy Pachuca. She was always into Ranfla and Bomba since she was a little girl. Her grandfather her father taught her to fix and paint cars. But she love those classic old style cars especially those Lowrider cars. Every September in El Chuco there's always the greatest car show we're all cars classics bikes a family events in the park. she loved going to Lincoln Park.. It was a family tradition from generation two generation to go to the show. She knew the man that she loved would be there......To be continued part 1
