A voice

Always there
Always watching over me
Always making me smile
He is my world
Nothing else matters

I could feel this way
So light
So happy
So free
I never thought
He would see me that way
So beautiful
He says he can't breath

I could love this way
Such passion
Such force

Crying alone for days
Only a mirror staring back
Drowning in a sea of darkness
In a sea of self image
Apologizing for living
Apologizing for being such a problem
Apologizing for dying
One light
One breath of air
Him
A shining star
Descending into the darkness
"You're beautiful"
He says
"You're worth it"

He looked at me
I felt the tears swelling up inside
His disappointed scowl
I felt the lump in my throat
The cold look in his eye
My eyes stung
The harsh words emerging from his lips
A single tear rolled down my cheek
I ran
I had too
I couldn't let him see me cry
Curling into a ball
In the corner of a dark room
Sobbing
Choking
Never able to catch my breath

Surrounded
By the bustle and the business
By the fake laughs and forced smiles
By the meaningless words and the vacant eyes
Crushed
By the pressure of todays society
By the responsibilities thrown at you by today's world
Choking
From the air that is too thick to breath
From the people who are too fake to know
From the life that is too complicated to live
Let me choke
Let me die
Let me be free from this prison of lies
