Midnight strikes, the silence is deep,
I reach for you both in my sleep.
Your words remain, though you're gone from sight,
A final note left in the quiet of night.
Said I helped, but couldn't save,
A love that lingers beyond the grave.
No time for goodbyes, no last embrace,
Only shadows left in this empty space.
Now stars hold the echoes of your pain,
But your memories still remain.

In the dark, I search for light,
Carrying your voices through the night.
This poem is a tribute to my two friends who sadly committed suicide a few years back, I was very hesitant on sharing it anywhere, really... finally convinced myself to otherwise...
They may be gone, but their memories will forever remain. R.I.P., I miss you both.
