Trick me yea
Trick me nae
It is April Fool’s today
           A day of tricks
           A time for antics
           Just like those in politics
A POEM BY BAPCHA, MY LOVING WIFE
Bapcha May 2016
Getting old will **** you

And

Dying isn’t good for your health

But

Don’t trouble yourself

Unless

You are one of the two

I ****** an orange
On the peel
To me it seemed
Quite a steal

Out of Africa
It was shipped
Into my tummy
It then dripped

On the porch of her house
A blind woman sits
Old but not bowed
As she casually knits

A worn weathered face
But eyes that still glisten
She stitches contented
But her senses listen

Off in the distance
A horse and a cart
In time they’ll approach
The woman takes heart

The carriage arrives
But does not pass bye
A man disembarks
The horse gives a sigh

A smirk soon appears
On her crafty old face
She rises and walks
With a sensual grace

The man’s probing eyes
Follow her every move
As she enters the house
She knows he’ll approve

Times passing seems endless
Till each reappears
He walks to his buggy
And then disappears

Not a word has been spoken
Not a kiss or embrace
But a glow has enveloped
The old woman’s face

As she stoops to retrieve
Her needles and thread
A tear on her cheek
Tells of words left unsaid

War and terrorism are like a stick
Being driven into a mound of ants
The consequences of which
Disperse the innocent victims
To new uncertainties around the world
The tragedy of present day refugees

Write your poems
Onto these pages
So they will be read
For ages and ages

Yes in time
You will be gone
But your prose
Will go on and on

***
*** is all I want

            *** is all I need

                  *** is all I flaunt

My thoughts pierce my mind
Like lightning strikes a tree
Leaving a trunk, stripped of bark
Such ghostly image left to see

Exposing deeper secrets of my thoughts
Sending fiery embers wrenching in my guts

For those that have not
Happiness, can sometimes be found
At the bottom of a ***
