Onward through the darkest night,
at last there appears some light.

To look up and see with wondrous eyes,
a glowing moon up in the skies.

A light to guide me through the gloom,
and watch the evening flowers bloom.

The walk began to clear my head,
now the thoughts I start to tread.

A day is filled with want and need,
the night is of a different breed.

Absolve the stress of hours past,
this moonlit walk will always last.

The stone they cast was not my fault
a wound appeared and filled with salt

A wrong committed so unjust
they have forever lost my trust

I am alone to take this quest
but I will put it to the test

Take this sword hatred fanned
and bring it down with my own hand

It may be wrong and this I know
but vengeance served a mighty blow

We live in a world with so much despair
it shouldn't be this hard to care

We march along in the light
forever fearing darkest night

We only speak of what is wrong
the road ahead is ever long

We have to turn our eyes and stare
and remember that we can care.

The time has come to walk above
and remember that there is love

Change can come and it must
for this world has got to trust

The time it takes to give a smile
and you can change something vile

An image forms in a mind that sleeps
never willing to take that leap

Transgressions past that cling and claw
will this anger ever thaw

A burning desire that never fades
comes in many burning shades

The toll of holding on to hate
leaves the soul a fragile state

Forgive the past for you will see
the best of life is being free

Time is taken,
we live on.

Those around us,
are always gone.

Be not afraid,
of what you see.

For out a darkness,
you are free.

To walk from here,
so long a road.

The time is near,
no pain is owed.

The journey ends,
then begins a new.

Fear not the path,
for it is true.
