Vigour
William Ritson Aug 2013
I hate to see,
A vigor-less man
With no drive
And no Ambition

To watch them fall
Before my eyes
No flame to open the soul

Let go let go
Wish the world well
It comes and goes
That’s just how so
The vigor-less man

Will know,
Will know…

The time has come
To take it on
And stride on into the tide
And see how so
A man can lay
Among the feats of men
Of times long gone,
Passed on
Forgotten
No flame to open the soul
Came to me after seeing someone I love losing track of their lives. Forgetting their ambitions and their drive for life. This poem reminds me of what's important and why we should keep living they way we want to live.
