Fear Not
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
Fear not, Strong Heart, for even when the sun sets, it does not cease to shine.
Doubt not, Bright One, for as the moon reflects the sun, so do you mirror the one with Eyes of Fire and a Heart that Burns.
Hey there darkness, don’t you see the lights rising to shatter your dreams?
Hey there darkness, don’t you see the willow weeping for all the things you’ve stolen from the shining kings?

Hey, darkness, don’t you see that the sun and moon collide inside these radiant skies?
Where the bright voice pierces, billows, beckons, and cries to these ones who now rise
To the door of escape beyond earthly sight
Hey, night, don’t you see that together they come, roaring they come, like a wall they come
To bring an end to this fight
Between the light of day and the darkness of night

Listen, Strong heart, can you hear the new sound rising beyond your fears?
Listen Bright one, can you hear the tears hitting the ground and filling the ears?
Hey, Weeping Willow, you weep not in vain
Every tear fallen is now given to sustain a life new and rising for glory’s gain
Hey there, broken, feel the washing of your lies to give way to a piercing light
Hey there, broken, feel your eyes open to a new sight revealing the unwavering right

Hey broken, don’t you see that the sun and moon collide inside these radiant skies
Where the bright voice pierces, billows, beckons, and cries to these ones who now rise
To the door of escape beyond earthly sight
Hey, night, don’t you see that together they come, roaring they come, like a wall they come
To bring an end to this fight
Between the light of day and the darkness of night

The night cannot end in a world torn by sin,
But Blood is given to bring a beginning to this end of a world ruled by fallen men.

Hey heaven and earth, don’t you see that the sun and moon collide inside these radiant skies
Where the bright voice pierces, billows, beckons, and cries to these ones who now rise
To the door of escape beyond earthly sight
Hey, night, don’t you see that together they come, roaring they come, like a wall they come
To bring an end to this fight
Between the light of day and the darkness of night

Hey, everyone don’t you see the ending has just begun?
Hey, don’t you see the rising sun?
Can’t you see a world undone?

This Day
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
And if I look back ten years from now, what will I say of this day?
Did I make it worthwhile?
Will I remember it at all?
Will I remember the beckoning calls of cities asleep?
What will I know of this day?
I suppose it is the journey of not knowing the future that makes the present so graceful.
What changes do ensue from time?
We are ushered by it, not knowing what defining moment await us,
But still we trudge on because the beauty of our moments will be in the remembering, the existing, the discovering what has come, is coming, and will come.
The sun will still rise, and the days still turn; tears will still fall and minutes pass, but never will we forget the most cherished minutes. Funny, how it is usually the smallest of things that evoke the most emotions.

So, ten years from now, what will I remember of this day?
Will it be known as a defining moment?
Will it be remembered as worthwhile?
Will I still know the calls of such cities asleep?
I am certain of this, however, I will remember the journey and the beauty of it all, and the story will be one worth a tell.

So, ten years from now, what will you remember of this day?
Will it have been all that it could be?

From Yeshua
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
Forgotten, I remember
Broken, I mend
Lonely I'm with you
Past dawn's final bend

Morning by morning
To me your heart does send
Rhythms of your hope's desperate end

Oh, call to me, lovely
Oh, reach for me, friend

For I cannot forget you
And your heart will I mend
Through darkness and sorrow
Bleak skies will I rend
Just to see your eyes gazing at me again

This death was for you
Just to hold your hand
Nothing is more tried
Nothing is more true
Than this promise to you
Sincerely, your husband,  your brother, your friend.

My King
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
I was once dreaming of a love so bold.
I found none can compare with this love you hold.
You've become my elixir; You've found my gaze.
And now my sight is lost in this daze.

Your voice is the rain that drowns me down past the roar.
Your love's the ocean that'll never wash me to shore.
Your heart so consuming that I'll hear another no more.

And When You whisper,
I'll hear You.
Where You step,
I'll go
And where this path leads me, I won't care if I know.

Your voice is an arrow piercing to my core.
Your mind is a world of unending doors.
Your love is a maze full of secrets to implore.

And When You whisper,
I'll hear You.
Where You step,
I'll go
And where this path leads me, I won't care if I know.

Oh, Your eyes are binding, and  my heart does beg,
Draw me in until I am gone.
Draw me in, and let this love have control.

When You whisper,
I'll hear You.
Where You step,
I'll go
And where this path leads me, I won't care if I know.
If Your eyes keep leading, I'll never care if I know...

Elixir
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
Something happened between dawn and day
Something happened to change my way
Digging trenches to bury the pain
The path i'm on cant remain
So long as i hear the subtle refrain

And you say Find yourself here in sunlight's aim
Find yourself here in mountainous terrain
Find yourself here and let it drain
Trust in that Nothing will be the same

I'm thirsting for an elixir found in a name
Searching for a remedy
In a melody's maze
Knowing truth is beyond this shame
Livin for hope in revel raised
Cursing the words keeping me sane
Knowing nothing will happen today
Watching the sun burn out its blaze
Wishing tomorrow never came

And you say find yourself here in sunlight's aim
Find yourself here in mountainous terrain
Find yourself here and let it drain
Trust in that Nothing will be the same

When will the sky fall
When will it end
When will monotony no longer spin
The web of my life's beginning and end

And i'll Find You here in sunlight's aim
I'll find You here in mountainous terrain
I'll find You here and let it drain
You'll be my elixir, You'll be my name

City in The Sky
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
There once was a people who found the ground much too hard,
so they grew their city from the sky.
In it, they basked in the Sun's rays,
as they hung all the hues of the blues, the greens, and the greys.
But, sadly, no one sees them much anymore these days,
because when your grow your city from the sky,
it can be washed away with the rain.
Thought of this while drawing on may cup from lunch.

Free
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
No, no dream goes unseen.
No, no tear and no fear is unknown.
Let contentment reign over uncertain terrain.
Let heart reign again over the numbing old.
Let the depths of brokenness, behind every wall, come crashing to the floor.

Free to be seen for who you are, and who you are not.
Free to be loved for every fear and failure, every gain and goal.
Deserving, deserving truth.
Deserving, deserving life.
Free to love and free to choose.
Free to feel.
Free to let it all go.

Yes, this is you.
Free.
Let it be.

Painted
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
And I heard a sound that called me down to a pretty painted town.
Where all the people make the rounds to cover the hounds

And they say, if it looks good, it must be
If it seems holy, it must be.
We all know holy's on the outside anyway
If they don't see it, it won't be true
So smile again and turn on cue
And until tomorrow when we press repeat let's find some solace in our sleep

And I wondered what could break them of this spell
What truth was there that I could tell
These certain master crafters
Who shout the sound of breaking
And abuse the holy laughter
only to bounce it back from the rafters

And they say, if it looks good, it must be
If it seems holy, it must be.
We all know holy's on the outside anyway
If they don't see it, it won't be true
So smile again and turn on cue
And until tomorrow when we press repeat let's find some solace in our sleep

I don't want to stand and watch any more
I've fought the battle. They want the war
With no solution but silent desperation
This hollow sanity is not breaking
The masks seeking to swallow adoration
Leaving only the cruel imitation
Of what once was truth

And they say, if it looks good, it must be
If it seems holy, it must be.
We all know holy's on the outside anyway
If they don't see it, it won't be true
So smile again and turn on cue
And until tomorrow when we press repeat let's find some solace in our sleep

Tell me
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
Tell me you love me.
Tell me you mean it.
Tell me I’m worth it.
Tell me anything at all.
Or
Tell me nothing.
But
Be kind.
Be true.
Love me with your voice.
Love me with your words.
Love me with your kiss.
And never let me go.

The Rose
Whitney Singh Oct 2011
The rose sits quietly,
Buried in the earth
Waiting,
Waiting to be chosen,
By someone she could also choose.
Many have glanced at the brilliance of her hue,
But they would not choose.
Some have uprooted her stems, only to place her down again,
Changing their minds upon further inspection
Silently she waits for the one who would take her,
To make her their own,
To never return her to the soil alone.
This is love, to choose and be chosen in return,
An exchange of hearts without reserve
This is love, though few are courageous enough to give.
But this is love, nonetheless,
And she will wait still.
