Maybe I’m sick of this honesty,
The anger goes straight to my head.
And this hope’s like a cancerous commodity
I’d rather just hate you instead.
But the dark yields to day,
And blind eyes never stray,
And we break with the weight
of what we couldn’t say.
Stolen moments
Can not last,
But you won’t forget the past.
Hide the guilt
Behind a mask
But I can’t forget the past.
Maybe I hate how you look at me,
With eyes telling truths you won’t speak.
And this heart’s like a sickness inside of me
I’d rather you just set me free.
But the day yields to night,
So we harbor this light,
And we mourn all the wrongs
That we couldn’t make right.
Didn’t answer,
Didn’t ask,
But you can’t forget the past.
Find forgiveness,
Make it fast,
Because I won’t forget the past.
Sometimes, you get hurt by someone who you just can't let go of. And sometimes, you get hurt too many times. This is for everyone who has ever wanted something they couldn't have, and never forgave the one who made them want it.

Center stage
He loves me not
Exit left
Deserved what he got
Curtain call
Off with her head
Final bow
The theatre’s dead

Say it right
And feel the fear
Read it like you mean it
And the crowd will shed a tear
The wicked stage
Has claimed a life
The opera won another night

Enter right
Ophelia’s scene
Opening night
I dreamed a dream
Clashing swords
Crescendo swirl
War between houses
But the boy wins the girl

Read your lines
Make them real
Fake your emotions
til they’re all that you feel.

Wet the ink and turn the page
All the world’s a wicked stage
Hello all. This isn't my first poem, but it's my first post. I wrote this as a song for my older sister's band. Hope you enjoy :)

It’s the memories that haunt us
That we seem to cherish most
And what you thought was the light in her eyes
Was a ghost
Of all the things that used to make her smile most of all
But the smile breaks to pieces
And the pieces start to fall
On the floor by her feet
So she retreats inside her head
Never mind that inside
Is where the sickness starts to spread
To her soul
Makes her cold
Makes her wanna lose control
Of everything. With every sting
With every needle in her skin
That sinks to the vein
And then dampens down the pain
With the bitter sweet retreat and each
And every dull refrain.
