LONGING
Varun Goswami Jan 2013
Dark solitude,
a distant flare.
Shadows dancing in the darkness;
mind fissure.
One with you;
one longing for you.
Can i stop the time;
be here with you.
Go back somewhere;
i never met you.
Let me be in dark;
or stop that distant flare.

DESTINY
Varun Goswami Mar 2013
Silhouette of the tree hill atop,
While other beneath have gathered dusk…
The sea slams the lost back to the shore….
Peeping into closed door….
Daffodil of the spring….
River flow to the ocean….
But,
Horizon is an illusion and
Sun never accompany the stars….
i will remove this poem the day...i get my love..(if i get her) till then.well thats my love story above....

I AM NOT A SLAVE
Varun Goswami Oct 2012
Am not a slave to the restless and cold  three hands
I do all i want however and whenever
Don’t need no idiot doing the same twice a day for rest of life ;
Tell me what to do.
Who needs it?
Ain’t  we have conscience  and sense ?
Ain’t we know what’s wrong what’s right ?
Ain’t  knowing life enough ?
and you fear of being ruled by machines in the ******* bully called future when;
ain’t  even the regretful past know how we sold our soul to one since and till forever
but am free , i refused to put the collar numbered 1 to 12 and be pulled and pushed around by three chains.

TO WATCH YOU SLEEP
Varun Goswami Feb 2013
I was there,
when the moon was making love to you,
glowing you in passion.
While in silent you lay,
the steady river with strong current beneath;
pounding my heart.
labyrinth aroma making me collect myself.
Silent noise saying the truth of life.
The two sweet fruits of Eden;
peaceful still tremors shaking the universe…

I was there,
when the sunlight like a wind disturbed the silence of the river;
ripples in the water as it flows towards the mangrove;
the mother hides her child from the world.
There’s the  ocean just before the storm.
The wind wins the battle;
the river’s  silence breaks,
a dream comes to life,
a kiss breaks my trance,
and the day begins with your perfect smile..
I promise to be here with the stars and the moon
to watch you sleep again…

SUNSET
Varun Goswami Feb 2013
Solitude dusk
Not solitary anymore...
Two birds returning home
sound of their sweet song reminds of those;
long walks and never ending talks...
The horizon sun;
those radiant eyes;
the center of my existence...
Last rays of sun, scattered on my body
feels like your warm touch;
Hands of a sculptor bringing clay into life...
Chilling wind, like that first kiss
running shivers down my spine...
Moments they feel so real,
I see you beside me here
Look at you, and smile and try to search myself in yours of a moment...
I look away and never at you again
For I know what’s left of you is
Only a part of me now…

SOUL SONG
Varun Goswami Jan 2013
We will meet on the hill
Sit beside the stream..  lite the Magic
in the winter sun
Grazing  the sky till it turns green…
And we will chase the rabbit on a airplane
will take the bus………
And sing our way to the garden
Garden filled with flowers……….
Pick a flower put it by the ear
Hear what the heart says
Looking for those lost years
Away from the fears
Away from the grays
Lite the Magic…and dance…….
By the night we talk to the stars…..
Ask  what have they done to the wishes we made….

REASON
Varun Goswami Dec 2012
Beneath the doldrums
of the contemporary
civil society
their are  few souls,
searching the loud noise
that is been making it a numb;
ever since.......

SHE
Varun Goswami Dec 2012
SHE
Cimmerian night
sole company of the moon,
cool draft tearing the mist
and there she appeared,
tearing the cimmerian shade
eyes illuminating the soul
hair the deep flowing ocean,
aroma the winter midday sun
divine voice breaking
the lifelong silence of a deaf
if only i was dreaming,
i want to wake up to that face
all my remaining mornings...

JUST A DREAM
Varun Goswami Feb 2017
Rivers have dried.
Sands have become salt.
Ships have been dismantled.
Fishes are just folklore,
No one left to tell.
