Sometimes, You don't have light
Where light should be, Its gone
Only Dark remains

But, When this happens, Make your own light.
Fill That Absence
Turn on the lights

She believes that the MCU is the only world she needs
She believes that all drawings are better than hers
She believes that opossums are the best creature

She believes to not judge people too quickly
To be kind to everyone
She believes that life is precious
And to never waste a single moment of it

Dancing in my living room
Oblivious to the world

Why would I care if people are dying?
Why would I care if the world is burning?
If I don’t care it should go away
It would leave and never come back to this ungodly place
You said it’ll be over soon, right?
You said don’t worry
Moms got this

Thoughts keep me from sleep
No sleep is bad for a young child
No friends
No food
Eliminate distractions
That should help

Computers begin to rule the world
Can’t live without them
A burden on our life
Screens light up your darkened room
“Five more minutes”
Sound Familiar?

Pencils Scratch pages
Seeing people in person
But not really
Faces covered in a cloth
Safety reasons
Can’t explain

Dancing in my living room
Family cheering me on

Counties flashed red
Black clouds appeared over purple hills
Run
Run to the truck
Run up the hill to grandfather’s cellar
Thunder rumbled the hills
Lightning forked downward
Rain patterned the dirt
The day had gone dark
A dark funnel coiled from the black clouds
Dust and debris hovered toward the jagged edges of the storm
Throwing dirt and trees
A terrible beauty
It slowly faded away
Gone as surely as it had come
Watching the clouds roll on through
The air still and silent
A town destroyed
People dead
My life, unscathed

Fire should frost
But the smoke dissolves your lungs
The alarm works well, even in the sticky heat
Professionals visit the keyless lock
Liquid extinguishes the flame
Strength is key
Heat drives you
Cars swivel
Too late

The wind hums outside
The trees, restless
The leaves, twist and turn with every gust

The leaves blow off the nimble tree
Running in the wind
When the wind settles
So do the leaves

"Only 3% of all water on earth is drinkable"

So why are we wasting it?
Why do we take 35 minute showers when 10 minutes is already too long?
Shouldn’t we preserve this sacred gift that nature is so generous to provide?
Maybe humans are too wrapped up in themselves to realize the danger we are in.
Maybe the world leaders are too involved in saving their own skin than to save their peoples’.
Maybe it’s just too late.

Once apon a time there was a girl
Once apon a time she feel in love
Once apon a time her heart was shattered
She swore it to never happen again, once apon a time

Vibrant red, yellow and green color the sky over the sandy shores
The sea is green, reflecting off the sky
The sun is touching the water, a beautiful gold, blinding the viewers

The sky is now turning dark, now purple and blues
The sun is being drowned by the water, only the top remains
I see the fish, the seagulls, turning in for the night
Soon, I promise myself.
Soon, I'll do the same tonight.

Add gummy bears to my Fro-Yo
Wear oversized hoodies
Make silly faces under my mask
Ruin perfect snow
Light my s’mores on fire
Not understanding why ripped jeans don’t look good on me
Or girls being really judgy
Or math
Loving sushi
Eat the wafer of the kit kat last
Watch 80’s and 90’s music videos with my dad
Mold and squish gummies
Try to get the light switch perfectly balanced
Doing Kpop dances on my trampoline
Make up fake scenarios
Buy crop tops and never wear them
Avoid making eye contact
Loving fluffy blankets
Sleeping with a stuffed animal moose
Being too self critical
Pick the sprinkles off my cookie before I eat it
Flip the pillow over to the cold side
Collect fake skulls
Write short stories
Talk about my old school way to much
Dance in the pouring rain
Laugh at things that aren’t funny
Talk to much
Complain about my art
Stay up to late

You
When I tell you I cry I say my friends
But I do not cry for them
I cry because of you
I cry because of the conversations we shared,
those memories and words
I cry happy tears, remembering the sound of the swings,
and the bounce of the basketball
Happiness withers into regret, into sadness,
into you

— The End —
