So why are we wasting it?
Why do we take 35 minute showers when 10 minutes is already too long?
Shouldn’t we preserve this sacred gift that nature is so generous to provide?
Maybe humans are too wrapped up in themselves to realize the danger we are in.
Maybe the world leaders are too involved in saving their own skin than to save their peoples’.
Maybe it’s just too late.

Oblivious to the world

Why would I care if people are dying?
Why would I care if the world is burning?
If I don’t care it should go away
It would leave and never come back to this ungodly place

No sleep is bad for a young child
No friends
No food
Eliminate distractions
That should help

Computers begin to rule the world

Counties flashed red
Black clouds appeared over purple hills
Run
Run to the truck
Run up the hill to grandfather’s cellar
Thunder rumbled the hills
Lightning forked downward
Rain patterned the dirt
The day had gone dark
A dark funnel coiled from the black clouds
Dust and debris hovered toward the jagged edges of the storm
Throwing dirt and trees
A terrible beauty
It slowly faded away
Gone as surely as it had come
Watching the clouds roll on through
The air still and silent
A town destroyed
People dead
My life, unscathed

Vibrant red, yellow and green color the sky over the sandy shores
The sea is green, reflecting off the sky
The sun is touching the water, a beautiful gold, blinding the viewers

The sky is now turning dark, now purple and blues
The sun is being drowned by the water, only the top remains
I see the fish, the seagulls, turning in for the night
Soon, I promise myself.

Or girls being really judgy

Loving sushi
Eat the wafer of the kit kat last
Watch 80’s and 90’s music videos with my dad
Mold and squish gummies
Try to get the light switch perfectly balanced
Doing Kpop dances on my trampoline
Make up fake scenarios
Buy crop tops and never wear them
Avoid making eye contact
Loving fluffy blankets
Sleeping with a stuffed animal moose
Being too self critical
Pick the sprinkles off my cookie before I eat it
Flip the pillow over to the cold side
Collect fake skulls
Write short stories
Talk about my old school way to much
Dance in the pouring rain
Laugh at things that aren’t funny
Talk to much
Complain about my art
