You emerge out of my twilight
Like stars in the sky
And your hands, first the fingers,
Then hands, then arms
Emerge like silhouette
And take me in your arms…
We are one, intricately mixed
In the opacity of carnal abyss
Of my sad twilights.
I sleep and dream about you.
But in the silent empty mornings
When the sun conspires
To drink dry the cups of dewy sods
I wake up from my nocturnal grave
And cast the nets of my sad eyes
On the ways you walk.
Out of my eye emerge
Million eyes, all alike, all innocent,
All admiring you subserviently;
And they look at you…
Then, there is this: a conversation
Sent to your eyes…
My million eyes fly to the light
In your deep shady eyes
To find their sepulcher—
They never return.
I place crown on your head
And you walk unaware.
Yes, again and again I cast
My sad eyes, but my queen, you walk on and on.
And the next twilight arrives
Like escapee across the
Desert where man hopelessly
Cast nests of sad eyes in the
Oceans of dreams and hopes…
You emerge out of my twilight
And take me in your arms.
I sleep and dream about you

Your being is the endless sea,
And I a lone sailor;
In the lapping waves, in the stillness
Of the silver waters under the moonlight,
I ride on the tides.
I sail across you endlessly.

Your life is a celebration,
And I an unknown celebrant;
In the music of your voice,
In the lights of your eyes,
In the sway of your hair,
I am the dancing leaves in the
Winds of life.
I leap like vapors into the clouds
And fall back as rain.
Your steps are the changing seasons of my living.
