Get Over It.

I try to wipe that pretentious smirk off your face,
but it refuses to slide - how stubborn!
It merely slips and sinks even more deeply
into your square face.

Exchanging vocabulary, throwing words out like missiles.
I take every hit,
and note from swelling flames, the scent of your desperation that plays in the smoke.

Failure to sustain your act.
Puppy dog eyes miserably dissolve,
your grin sneaks a glance here and there.

It's time subtlety broke your megaphone.

The sun warmed my body
and the sky was the deepest, clearest blue
without a cloud in sight.
The green grass hummed with activity
as the breeze and the bugs crawled through the blades.
I looked up and thought to myself
without sadness, there cannot be happiness.
Without pain, there cannot be pleasure.
And without the struggles of life,
we would not know
how strong we really are.
Without the rainy days,
we would not appreciate
the sunny, perfect,
beautiful and clear days.

I wish they knew how to live a little,
How to let the sun shine in their hair,
And the warm breeze give them shivers.
I wish they knew how to live a little,
How to forgive their enemy's,
And love whom doesn't deserve it.
I wish they knew how to live a little,
Because right now, instead of every second being a second of pure indescribable wonder,
Their living in the shadow of a broken world,
And in that shadow,
                  nothing lives.
Pure random i guess. I wish i could explain.

i wish we'd met under different circumstances,
in a beautiful parallel universe.
where the dull blue skies we dwell under now were light,
and the hatred we respire no longer spewed from our mouths.
i want the air to be cleared and our brains
fogged from the heartless reality we maintain.
i want our imperfect utopia to be untouchable,
a place of perfect imperfection,
where i can love you with all my heart.

For the first time…
I saw you
Lips to toes
And you were born for me

Born for me
With all the right stitches and seams
And gleaming with all the right Ooh’s and Aah’s

And I want to make you God
And I want to make you King
And I need to make you mine

I love you so much
I want to make miniature
versions of you and me,
show them the world together,
build them into the happiest people alive.
I think you're so beautiful
that I want to put my face on yours
and morph us together forever.
I don't want you for the instant,
I want you in any instance.
You say I'm silly,
infatuated, irrational.
All this impurity
yet such a straightforward thing.
But what could be more complicated
or irrational than a feeling?
What is this thing I'm perceiving,
is it but a trick of my own mind?

I wish I could have done more.
I should have hopped a plane this summer to see you.
Helped you pour your husband water with olives
and tell him it was *****.

So I joined this site
and I don't know what to do
Gosh I really need some light
Patrick had to take a poo

I hear planes flying
and my kitty purring.
Gosh why am I writing this poem Patrick!
THE END.

I woke from sleeping,
turning, dreaming,
to cut my eyes on the new light of dawn.
Running my hands over midnight frowns,
I have escaped now
with coffee and you as my reward.
