His presence came in the form of a silent glowing light
Her sad soul so overwhelmed that the sound of his white light left her blinded by his glare
She could feel a warmth she had been craving her whole life
A calmness that enveloped her body
The essence of his being was intoxicating
It filled every corner of her soul with a softness she had never known.
A feeling so pure that it paralysed her with fear
Vulnerabilities she had never expressed
Intimacy she did not believe existed
Every moment like being wrapped inside a warm embrace of safety
His perfection felt like a captivating melody slowly melting away her outer layers with his soft gentle tune
Her soul had never felt this kind of music
Her heart had never been strummed so gently by hands so strong
Suddenly she was transfixed
She feels the panic strike through her body like a lightning strike
The air drains from her lungs
She wants to run but she cant
Her body refuses to move
Frozen in the unknown
She can still hear those familiar echoes of being alone
But something has changed
The light he embodies had intertwined with the threads of her darkness
Lighting the soul
Igniting internal fires
Sparks from the heat have begun to illuminate the desires of unexplored worlds
Her body still refuses to move
Like a fly in amber
The light he has ignited has shaken her
Has shifted her reality
Has tilted her axis
The light can't be dimmed
it now lives within her
Still frozen with fear
She inhales his essence and feels his fire fill her lungs
That familiar burn
Intoxicating
She exhales and within the plume of smoke clouding her vision
She can see with clarity
Her beacon of light
Lighting her path
Guiding the way
His silent white light that consumes her
She knows His light is there to guide her to herself
slowly her legs began to move again
With no idea where she is going
Held hostage in the maze of her own mind
Always looking for that path to her own field of dreams
where the air will glisten with the aroma of her inner peace
But she knows she is lost
So She follows his light
Knowing that he will only ever be her *** of gold at the end of the rainbow.
A flawless diamond too perfect to touch with her tainted hands
Still, she follows his light
she knows that this light is his gift to borrow but not hers to keep
She follows the light
Hoping that one day
It will lead her to where she belongs
She might finally find her way home

Just a sock
A black sock
Made of the wool from a sheep that she was destined to be
A sock with a small hole
Still wearable if you cover the right bits
The more it walks the spirals of the mind, the bigger the hole becomes.
Now one full toe is exposed
She hides the hole like a dark little secret
Hidden beneath the shoes of her smile
The Japanese say it's polite to wear socks
But she didn't know how to be polite
She wasn't blessed with the gift of the bonsai
No harmony, peace or order of thoughts
The matching sock has long been lost
She wonders if anyone else can see the chaos she walks on
The unraveling she hides
Just a tattered sock with holes
Floating around the washing machine
Waiting for the cycle to finish.

She trudged through the mud that filled the home inside her mind with a dark dampness that would never leave
The ground never seemed to clear or dry
Always hard to maintain a walking pace that would please this world
Too slow!
Too fast!
Too hard!
Too soft!
All of her failures sprouting tears that would fill her mind like a dark wet muddy tunnel
Impossible to navigate
Her mind weighed too heavy for a child so young
She had lost her gumboots
Forced to walk barefoot alone
From above the tunnel she hears them yell
Just do better!
Try harder!
So she tries with all her might to push through the mud,
To push through the fear and the pain
But the sadness fills the tunnel with silent tears and the water begins to rise
He screams for help go unheard
There is no one there to hear her cries
Then she hears the rumble
It's a deafening echo
She knows this sound well
She starts to run
With burning legs she keeps on running
Alone barefoot in the dark she runs
She runs and she runs
She is used to this, everyday she runs
Running from the judgement
Running from herself
Being chased by the echo
When she finally does emerge she is wet and cold, she has been broken into pieces,
she knows she doesn't fit in this world, she never did.
There is no glue to fix her brokenness
No blanket that can warm her soul
Everyday she keeps on running with her sad broken mind chased by that familiar rumble
Like thunder only she can hear
Trying to outrun it
But she never can
The noise consumes her
That deafening sound of being alone

— The End —
