I think about death.
And when I take my last breath.
Will someone be there.
Or will I die all alone.
Sitting in my easy chair.

It's so hard to stand,
firmly on your own two feet.
When you're pushed and shoved,
knocked completely off balance,
by every person you meet.

You brought me great joy.
It was boxed and had a bow.

I was gonna write,
all about my speechlessness
Couldn't find the words.

I remember when
Candy was ten for a dime
Carefree was priceless.

Please make up your mind
You have many to choose from
Don't settle for me
I'm not a charity case
I'm just choice a,b or c

I'm these things at once.
Feelings are sore to the touch
Numb inside my soul.

I'd give anything.
to once again hold your hand.
Feel your soul In mine.

I can only write,
about things I know of life,
how I see the truth.

In all honesty
Your conscience will not be free
Till the truth you see

Sometimes I cry.
With no reason to at all.
Yet the tears they fall.
Sometimes I think I'm dying,
to just get out of myself.

Used to be afraid.
Crowds were my nemesis.
In them now I hide.

Laughter can heal you.
It chases away Your stress.
Makes your pain hurt less.

Just a shred of truth.
What you bring to the table.
I am still hungry.

There's nowhere to hide
When dark clouds are threatening
Can't rain proof your heart.

Incoming tears fall
A barrage of past failures
Dropped by hate of self

I like poetry
Because I'm like someone else,
writing about me

Where did your dreams go?
Did they expire over time,
or hide in your mind.

Useful idiot.
That's just what you think I am.
Yet I'm onto you.

Your names in the clouds
Written there by an angel
Hoped she'd get her wings.

You know you're someone.
when your boyfriend chooses you,
over his buddies.

It's what I expect.
To be treated with respect.
Less I will reject.

Lion says to elk,
"You've lived through another day".
Elk says to lion ,
"You're not who you used to be,
cuz your pride gets in the way".

Too comfortable,
when they're asking things of you.
Put a firm foot down.

My soul is screaming.
On this train that's bound for hell.
I'm far from my home.
From God's grace from which I fell.
Laughing, Satan rings the bell.

Feeling rejected
Too stunned to even cry
My mouth parched and dry
Things that once were meaningful,
now matter not.
They are only clouds that hide the sun
A storm of doubt where once there was none.
I've experienced it second hand.
Looking on as some poor soul was it's victim.
Feeling some of their pain but it's nothing like first hand.
I fear tomorrow's anger.

When does life begin?
The answer lies in God's hands.
Angels will weigh in.

I wish you were mine
To someone else you belong
I'll still sing your song.

Moping in my despair
Radio plays a sad song
I know every word.

Don't know all that much.
But do know loving yous wrong,
don't care to be right.

I try to find strength
Life seems like an opponent,
so formidable.

Good outweighs the bad
Should we settle for the worst
Human kind offers?

I'm out of favor.
Really don't know why or how.
Know rejection well.

Do you see
The wind move the trees
The birds take flight
It's no subtle breeze
The trees do a dance
They thrash about
The rhythm steady
If they could they would shout
When the wind dies down
Trees perfectly still
They didn't take the prize
But next time they will.

I can't tell you why
I just don't feel like talking
Just be here for me.

I sit on your lap,
wearing only your dress shirt,
lost in your cologne.

In shallow water
Little fish nip at my toes
We bathe in the sun
Beach sand in my bathing suit
We have hot dogs on a bun

I have many scars
But they all tell a story
They are my tattoos.

I sing to myself.
Heavy metal lullaby.
Sleep falls ******* me.

I've wasted my time.
Waiting for your attention,
Or just one mention.

On me, your lies fail.
Sorry but I have to laugh.
Where's your sense of shame?

I'd love to receive.
A nice letter addressed to me.
To savor a while.

Waited by the phone
When you stopped coming around
But no calls came through
A new number you've found
So I'll quietly slip back,
into my loneliness inside
I'll take with me your memory
And a broken heart I will hide.

In a split second
You've lost everything you love,
question God above

Dog marks fire hydrant
That's how they say "I was here".
Like a post it note.

I'd never hurt you
Can you please believe my words
They're all I can give.

Of people, places, light of day.
Then God intervened.
