freshwater glides across the rocks
warmth of your head lay upon my breast
along my skin tickles brown locks
stings the silence of love confessed

old songs sing out of the music box
coldness finds where a head once rest
i grin at the soaring flocks
as i nervously accept your request

now i’m stripping off my socks
as i watch you get undressed
along my body a pair of blue eyes walks
my confidence thriving at best

kisses as dizzy as spinning clocks
hands i find gently caressed
peaceful as an old mother hawk
watching babies fall asleep in a nest

water ripples dance along the docks
as there unfolds our mighty gest
yet i remain still in shock

my heart sings a sad tune
as i look up to the full moon
and i see your eyes

the wind breaks along my face
making cold of your once warm embrace
and i feel your touch

i walk along the path of stone
along patches where weeds have grown
and i feel your presence

now i stand under our tree
listening to the buzz of a honey bee
wishing you come home

she stands in the middle of the dance floor.
she smiles. nothing less. nothing more.

i dream of a life where i could go up to her.
confess my love, and the rest a blur.

yet here i stand. corner of the room.
i am one with the wall, sewn with a loom.

i walk away, confidence along with me.
dreaming of who i am, and who i want to be.
