They say wear this
It will hide everything wrong
It will make you look pretty
It will help you belong

But what does that say?
We are not enough
You must 'Make up'
For anything that is rough

But really, you are beatiful
All your petals and thorn
You only get one body
The one in which you were born

So embrace your scratches
Your scars and wrinkles
Even broken glass
Sparkles and twinkles
I'm tired of everyone always telling me how much prettier I look with makeup. My natural beauty should be enough for them.
Where once was joy
Now is sorrow
What is here today
Will be gone by tomorrow

For everything has changed
And nothing is right
It's hard to tell
What is darkness or light

When love is ignored
And hatred is cheered
And those things you liked
Now just seem wierd

This is the Now
That was the then
And my ending
Must now begin
Wrote this after a fight with my parents. We figured it out, but this little guy still deserves to be shared.
