This is my story .
How I came to be .
Lying unconscious,
In my death bed
Waiting for the inevitable
Alas! I came back to life
Woke up all alone
Sad and lonely
No one to care or love
Thought dying would have been better
Was fascinated by the world of Art
Drawn towards Monet, in particular
Started to dream,
To paint like him
Soon to realize
It was a dream, too far out of reach
Felt lost again
Wondering , to which world do I belong
So I took to writing
And this is how I came to be.

Once you gave me

wings to fly,

told me I could

touch the sky.

Why everything

changed so much?

Why did you

burn my wings,

brought me back

down to your knees?

I write—
neither for name
nor for fame,

but to remain sane,
for I fear
I may go insane.

Too much hurt,
endless pain—
the heart can
only hold so much.

Words are my gateway
to release what I
hold inside.

When nature takes center stage


the world holds its breath.

Life is so harsh
perhaps that's why
nature gave us
flowers and butterflies
to help us forget the pain
even if only
for a moment.

I love nature

It loves me back

Rain plays the music of nature

Bees hum its songs

Butterflies dance to nature's tune

Flowers bloom in the sun

They all make me smile.

Meet my new friend,
her name is Pain.

She always stays by me,
never leaves my side,
no matter what.

She promised to stay with me
my whole life long
until it is my time to go.

So we both wait patiently
until that day arrives,
when she will hold my hand
for one last time,
put me to my grave and
bid her last goodbye.

In the silence of night

wounds of the heart scream.

I love no more, I hate no more.
I dream no more, I wait no more.
My time in this world is over now.
Now I rest.
Farewell to all my miseries.
Farewell to all my pain.
It's all over now.
For now I rest.
In the peaceful bed of death.
Farewell! O' my dearly beloved.

Why feel sorry
Why regret
We did what we do best
I loved; you left.

Afraid to make new friends,  

afraid to even say hello,

keeping everyone at arm's length,

any more heartbreak I cannot take,

I would rather be alone,

than be left broken again.

For the one you love

no matter how much you do

it never feels enough.

Why do we have to always compete?

Why should we always have to prove
that we are better than somebody?

Why is just being good not enough?

Love is not hollow

Its path is not easy to follow

It exists without any reason

Yet, you feel it in every season

Love is tough

Love is wise

Love is wild

Love is......just love.

I said , "I  love you. "

He looked at me for a moment
and then with his gentle soft voice
he said,  " I  love  too....

      
           but not you. "

A lonely heart,
in a lonely world,
is always in search of
an oasis of love.

Billions of stars in the sky

only one close enough

is all it takes

to light up the earth.

Billions of people in the world,

only one special enough

is all it takes

to light up a heart.

Let's not fight any war today
Let's not die today
Let us all live one more day
Let us steal a day from the clutches of death
Heaven can wait for one more day.

Let's enjoy one last meal with our loved ones
Enjoy our favorite movie one last time
Dance to the tune of our favorite songs
Visit the place where we have first met our soulmates.
Let us make it the best day of our lives
And finally say goodbye to one another.
Let's just live one more day.
Before death comes to take us away.

Time is running out,
the heart is giving up.
What was once loved
will be left behind -
a new journey is about to begin
into the unknown.

Sometimes, pain is the only reminder


                
                  you are still alive.

Past is never forgotten;
time only teaches
how to live with it.

The future is not free
from the clutches
of the past.

Past is a mirror
within the soul—
unbroken,
omnipresent,
always there
to remind us
of what is left behind.

A pen and a paper
lying on the table.

The paper asked the pen,
“Why don’t you write?”

The pen replied,
“I’m not motivated.
I don’t know what to write.”

The paper said,
“Write a love letter.”

“Why?” asked the pen.

The paper replied,
“Because I want to be kissed.”

The pen couldn’t stop laughing
and fell off the table.

The world is the same

for you and for me—

What we see

depends on

where we stand.

Someone once asked me,
“What did you do
to become a poetess?”

I said,"nothing.
I only broke the dam of emotions
I had built over the years.

The flood of emotions
themselves turned
into poems
and I became
a poetess."
(I have my doubts)

P —Pen on paper.
O —Overwhelming emotions.
E —Existing wounds.
T— Tales of the heart.
R— Reflecting ifs and buts.
Y—Yesterday's memory.

If I were to define poetry,
I would say,
Poetry is ‐
The thoughts of our mind ,
The words of our  heart and
The feelings of our soul .
It has a language of its own
through which,
it connects with the world.

Poetry and love

both came uninvited.

Poetry stayed,

love went away .

I was once curiously asked:
"Why write poetry?
Does it pay the bills?"

I replied with a smile:
"It does far more than that -
it heals."

Young or old,
poetry is for all.
Some write soft,
some write bold,
sometimes cold.
Yet they are all
treasures like gold,
never to be sold.

Poets come.

Poets go.

Poems remain—

left behind for someone

to read,

to admire,

and

to inspire

the next generation

to pick up the pen.

A broken heart is–

a poet's greatest treasure.

Once, I despised you ,
Yet, you turned out to be my truest friend .
Come, touch my lips ,
Slip down my throat,
Reach for my soul
Take it out ,
Carry it to the unknown,
Far away from this miserable world.
Bury it there for all eternity,
So it may never rise again.

I went to the gift store ,
to buy you a gift.
Could not decide on
what to buy
Should it be the costliest one
or the prettiest one .
You are precious, so should you gift.
So, I left the store empty handed
to be with you ,
and give you,
the most precious thing that  I have ‐TIME.

Priceless is the air we breathe,
priceless is water.

Priceless are the drops of rain
that fill up all the oceans.

Priceless is the Moon and priceless is the Sun.
Priceless is your love for me—
so pure and true.

Priceless is the cool breeze
on a sunny day.

Priceless is a river
flowing through a barren landscape.

And priceless is your smile to me.
Love me always, like only you can—

You're the sole custodian of my heart,
keep it safe till the end of time.

Those who know

the art of giving

are the ones

who know the

true meaning of living.

.

we live in it.

​Death is the answer,
we leave with it.

Questioning myself —

what becomes of all the

dreams that remained

unfulfilled?

Trust me if you can.

Come, hold my hand.

A promise I have made —

I will never make you sad.

I know you're in pain.

Share, and you will feel

light like rain.

If the harsh words you spoke

could ever rebound,  

you would have known

how painful they are.

As much as I wanted to

I could never hate you

my love was too strong

for hate to stand a chance.

It's not the fall,
but how you rise
after the fall
that defines you.

Running after money,

running after name,

running after fame,

running after this,

running after that.

Why can't they just walk?

Tears fall silently,

remembering the departed,

sadness surrounds me.

You are gone
why do I still search?

I look at the stars in the sky
are you amongst them now?

No, you won't be there
It's a quiet place, you won't like

I wonder where you are
hope in someplace
where you can spread your laughter.

Shadows are a reminder

that beyond the light

darkness exists.

If you have wealth and money,

keep it to yourself.

If you have empathy and love,

share them with the world.

A shelter in your heart I seek,  
to hide from all the miseries and grief.
I will wait for the day
when you reopen your heart for me.

Silence is not
a weakness.

It's only an act
of non-violence.

In every silence, I loved you.

Like a gentle breeze on a sunny day, I loved you.

Like the calm after a storm, I loved you.

Like a ray of light in darkness, I loved you.

Like a rainbow after the rain, I loved you.

With every breath I breathe, I love you.
