No love is true or false
Love is love
Same for all
Sacred and pure.

It is just that
Some people love and
some only pretend.

Happy families, smiling,
enjoying time together,
atmosphere filled with their laughter.

And then -

in a moment of madness,
all silenced.

Bullets took over,
dead bodies lying all around.

Terror strikes the land
we call "Paradise on Earth."

If I were to leave tomorrow,
would you ever remember me?
would you visit my grave -
Is that how you'd remember me?
Or would you turn me
into a poem of yours,
and keep me alive through you?

Dear Shane, you will get well.
You have a long battle ahead.
Fight it with all your might.
Don't give up.

Look straight into the eye of death.
Tell it to go back.

Ask death to come -

when you are 100 years old,
when all your hair turns silver,
and all your teeth fall off.

That is when you will meet death, smiling.

I will find a way
to your heart
or die trying.

Meet my new friend,
her name is Pain.

She always stays by me,
never leaves my side,
no matter what.

She promised to stay with me
my whole life long
until it is my time to go.

So we both wait patiently
until that day arrives,
when she will hold my hand
for one last time,
put me to my grave and
bid her last goodbye.

If I  say, " I love you",
will you give me your heart?
I cannot bring you ,
the Sun, the  Moon and the Stars.
I have no superpowers .
I am only a human being,
madly in love with you.
Will you be my companion for life
If I  promise to always stand by you,
no matter what?
Will you love me as I do,
till death do us part ?

You cannot keep me chained.
You can't clip my wings .
I will not surrender.
I won't accept defeat .
I will break free .
I  will fly away .

I am freedom.

Not by the mean faces
I see everyday ,
who smile
with a mask on.

Not by the harsh voices
I hear everyday,
that always
pull me down.

But by the unseen faces,
by their unheard voices,
only their words-
the wisdom within...

I am inspired.

I was once curiously asked:
"Why write poetry?
Does it pay the bills?"

I replied with a smile:
"It does far more than that -
it heals."

Strong as a rock,
Unbreakable like a promise.
Yes, it is friendship -
A bond built on trust.

Once made, never broken
The older it gets ,
Stronger it becomes .
Far or near, always there .

Seasons come and go,
But friendship remains intact.
Never fades away nor disappears ,
Stays with you like the Sun -

Always shining bright
To brighten up your life
Removing all the dark clouds
Away from your life.

O' love....your name I hear everywhere
What are you?...I  asked.
A voice came from within the depth of my heart
Love is.....it said
"When the world is lying at your feet
Yet, you don't care to look
For you can't take off your eyes
from that one face. "
O' how truly beautiful love is...said I.
Come...come...love
Come to my heart
For I too wish to feel your touch
Dear sweet love.

We don't know each other,
We have not seen each other.
Yet, we are bound together
by an invisible thread of emotions
in this world of words .

Together we stand ,
   with each other ,
    for each other.

You wanted a boy
You got me
Were you happy
Of course not
I did all the right things
Took care of you
Didn't chase after boys
Rather, I chased my dreams
Made a name in the world
People I meet say- we are proud of you !
But you are ashamed .
I am still your worthless child
Just because I am a girl.

I saw an Angel in my dream.
She said she would fulfill any wish I have.
"Should I make you the best ?"she asked.
"No,"said I.
"Just a little better than yesterday.
That will do."

My life was
an open book.
You just forgot
to read a few chapters.

Loneliness - a lonely word.
Waiting - a dreaded word.
Death - an unavoidable word.
Hatred - a hateful word.
Love - a sacred word.
Friendship - a trusted word.
Kindness - a kind word.

Smile - now, that is a beautiful word .



Don't you think?

A lonely heart,
in a lonely world,
is always in search of
an oasis of love.

Parents always tell their daughters:
"Don't stay late, it's not safe."

Can't parents tell their sons:
"Don't disrespect, do not ****.
They too are human beings,
just like you are."

Let's not fight any war today
Let's not die today
Let us all live one more day
Let us steal a day from the clutches of death
Heaven can wait for one more day.

Let's enjoy one last meal with our loved ones
Enjoy our favorite movie one last time
Dance to the tune of our favorite songs
Visit the place where we have first met our soulmates.
Let us make it the best day of our lives
And finally say goodbye to one another.
Let's just live one more day.
Before death comes to take us away.

It's not the fall,
but how you rise
after the fall
that defines you.

I often ask myself :

"Why is it so easy to die
for someone you love ,
and yet so hard to live on
for someone who cares?"

The heart always speaks -

but do we always understand?

If not for a lifetime,
walk just a few steps with me.

Not asking for the entire age,
Spend just a few moments with me.

Share a little of your story,
listen to a little of mine .

Even if not you ,
your memories will stay with me .

In the lonely journey of life ahead,
they will be my companion.

I can't stop you
from leaving me

Just as you can't stop me
from loving you .

Kindness touched a heart,  
the heart turned into a beautiful flower,
its fragrance is felt everywhere.

In darkness,
be the light in someone's life.
Lend a helping hand,
You surely will make a new friend.
If someone loves you,
Honour that love.
For love isn't a commodity,
You can buy.
To the one you love,
Give the gift of time.
Spread a smile,
In someone's life.
Your life will be truly worthwhile.
After all,  what is life's worth,
If it can't make someone's life better.

Air we need
It's free for all.

Freedom we want
It comes with a price.

All that is beautiful is not treasure.
All that is broken is not trash .
Ask any broken heart
It will tell
It is beauty that breaks hearts.

If I am not here tomorrow ,
Don't grieve my departure ,
Don't let your eyes filled with tears
in sorrow.
If possible, erase me from your heart.
If a memory of me ever surfaces,
hum one of my songs.

These aren't just words-
They are emotions of my heart.
In every melody lies,
A heartbeat of my soul.

Preserve them with care
for in them
I shall live forever.

Do not knock,
The door of my heart is locked.
Once,  it was a glorious place
Filled with the love of my dearly beloved,
and the soft sound of my heartbeats.
Now, it's empty and silent.
Graveyard of a dead love.
A forbidden place for lovers.
Please, do not knock
You can't enter
The door to my heart is locked forever.

I went in search of love
which was not there.
But what I found
was truly rare,
made my search worthwhile.

For I found -

      A protector
      A guide
      A friend
      A brother.

Gone too soon,
too far away,
far beyond reach,
without saying goodbye.
Only memories are left now.

The gentle white pages
of the humble,fragile books
contain all the wisdom of the world -

The custodian of our history.
The proof of our existence.

Love enters the heart gently ,
Like a gentle breeze.
It touches the heart softly,
Like soft drops of rain .

But when love leaves ,
It brings a thunderstorm,
Shattering the heart into pieces.

I am broken,
don't fix me.
If you find me in pieces,
don't collect me.
I am replaceable,
just replace me.
It's quite easy.

It is time
to rise and fight.

It is time
to take a stand ,
for what is right .

It is time
to turn the tide .

Today is the time
to save the world,    
for our tomorrow
    
          or else

there will be none.

Time is running out,
the heart is giving up.
What was once loved
will be left behind -
a new journey is about to begin
into the unknown.

Why don't the heart and mind
speak the same language?

Is it because-

the mind matures
and
the heart remains a child?

What will I leave
when I leave
a bunch of words
for someone to read?

What will I leave
when I leave
memories of a life less lived?

What will I leave
when I leave
dreams that remained unfulfilled?

Whatever I leave behind
will stay behind.
Not be my companion
in that other world.

If I were to define poetry,
I would say,
Poetry is ‐
The thoughts of our mind ,
The words of our  heart and
The feelings of our soul .
It has a language of its own
through which,
it connects with the world.

As the day broke,
I took a walk through
the trail in a forest.
The golden rays of the sun
penetrated through the thick canopies.
The soft sound of a cascading brook,
broke the silence of tranquility.
A little walk downwards,
as I followed the sound,
I found
a beautiful waterfall in all its glory
as if it had been waiting for me,
a beautiful, serene picture
to capture in memory.

The greatest actor in the world-

The one who hides his tears
behind his smile
and makes the world laugh.

The walls that are
invisible to the eye
are the hardest
ones to break.

A smile is a reflection of joy,
when you see the people you love.
It is a reflection of happiness,
when you meet old friends.

A smile is an unspoken word,
that says it all.

A symbol of love,
my nation's pride,
a gift to the world,
built by Shah Jahan
for his beloved Mumtaz.
Fulfilled the promise
he made to her,
built a unique monument of love
to stand the test of time
where they now rest side by side,
together forever.
A reminder -
love exists in the real world.

Words cut deeper

than the sharpest
of knives.

When raindrops fall,
rivers are formed.

When teardrops fall,
epic poems are born.

Come back ,
Or give me my life back.
You took all I had.
Come back ,
You are all I have.

Why follow when you can lead the way,
Lose your way you may, but never lose hope.
Accept challenges, never surrender,
Every time you fall, rise a little higher.
When one door closes for you, find a new one.
Love you may not find, but always look to earn someone's trust.
When you see a dark cloud,
Remember there is a rainbow around.
Don't be afraid of the dark night,
For, the night is the darkest
Just before sunrise.
