Why do we have to always compete?

Why should we always have to prove
that we are better than somebody?

Why is just being good not enough?

All the grief,
all the pain –
I accept it
with both hands,
for it was given
to me
by the one
I love

Words and fire

one intangible, one elemental

so different from each other

yet so similar in nature

when use with care

both give warmth and comfort

                 and

when not careful

destruction follows.

If you ever fall down,

think of yourself

as a waterfall.

for tears are not a weakness
to hide –
but a treasure
to proudly share with the world.

I tried hard to forget,
never to look back,
not to stay still, but move on –
Yet, all roads lead me

but you continue to reside in my heart.

My world is not yours anymore,
your heart doesn't feel my love anymore,
you have shut me out of your life,
erased all my memories of the past.
