Journey
Jim Mar 8
I have longed for you,
long before the journey began.

I carry you with me,
though my lips dare not speak.

You love to linger
beneath the vast blue sky,
watching the lake in stillness.

You always hide behind the green leaves,
never letting me catch a glimpse.

I have loved you,
long before we ever met.

Meaning
Jim Mar 10
Meaning is an invisible lover.
She is unpredictable,
like the shifting sky.
When pain and coldness creep in,
she vanishes,
leaving you to weep alone.

But on a bright afternoon,
when sunlight pours over,
as birdsong drifts by,
even in solitude,
you can feel her near,
whispering softly.

This unseen lover—
sometimes a banner of crimson,
sometimes a field of untouched snow.

This endless waiting,
shapeless and unknown.
Perhaps you must claim a piece of earth,
build a house,
sweep it clean,
and bring her home.

I Will Leave Quietly
Jim Mar 5
At dawn, when the sky is barely bright,
I will slip away in silence.

I’ll leave my burning passion
to the cool, whispering wind,
and cast my aching sorrow
into the vast, open sky.

This soft, trembling heart—
perhaps it’s time to let it go,
let it drift away
as a cloud, light and free.

I have seen the heavens,
beyond the edges of imagination,
where beauty steals away words.

Yet regret still lingers—
for a life left unlived.

I would pass that quiet stone,
walk through the land of fire,
to find you.
