A crowd of chatterful mouths,
The presence of occasion,
People sing and dance
In this joyful celebration

Smiling cheeks red and flushed,
Starry eyes glittering too,
There just doesnt seem to be
A sad soul coming through

Amongst all this romance
of love and of life,
I stand in the center
A tepid whirlpools eye

Branches stretching out
reaching into the sky,
beside a carpet of dead leaves
stands a crooked trunk

like arms seeking forgiveness
bending over to the ground,
not even a dead crow dares
to perch atop this soulless husk

flowers surround the view
unmindful and innocent,
a painters palette, a bed
of sweet scented allure

it defies nature for this
beauty, this magnificence-
to exist blissfully alongside
all these colourful hues

In the brume of the morning,
my noctilucent mind wanders.
I snap myself to actuality,
a gossamer clinging on.

But I dream—
of falling into a canopy,
carried by the zephyr
into a celestine world.

My eyes reflect alpenglow,
an aureole of aurora above my head.
I glissade through
this manifestation of elysium.

Lambent insects dance across
this surreal peninsula,
while a lost spindrift searches
for my weary, waiting face.

its culmination nears
as the burden in my heart—
hauls me back to earth,
where shadows stir and fester.

The halcyon lies,
the evanescent world,
a phantasm of hope
drifts into oblivion.
I always loved weird words, so I kind of forced myself to use some of them. I hope the meaning of poem isn't lost in useless jargon.

The scars of battle,
The Wounds of War,
Fallen warriors bleed
A river to red

But when a man
Is hurt, not by swords
But by consequences
Of love, of life

It's not blood that pours,
But tears of ink
Into the crumbled tapestry
Of a poet's heart

after a series of
endless sunken eyes
and thousand slumped nights,
I saw her-

the cause of my pain,
who gave up on me
whom I loved with all my heart,
But had still betrayed me

our eyes lock for a second
and my face loses composure

I saw in her hope
As I always used to see,
Buried beneath all
the trifles she went through

Hope, of having a chance
To make amends,
Make some plans
To ease an old friend

I did not know
what to expect
It had not been this
But now its too late

what she saw was not
the man that loved her,
but a spiteful gaze full
of hate and malice

A sight of a wounded animal
Hunting the predator
With bloodshot eyes
And a hunger for flesh

And for a moment, she cried
In a way no one saw but me

I should have known
Her past actions were not
Done with reason
But due to circumstance

But I have forgotten
lost myself in my pain
How could I have hurt,
have I turned myself a villain
