The other day I was ideling slowly
Listening to the song of a loom
Moving along the water like an otter
From boat ramp to main lake
When I found myself in the duck blind of the marsh
Where my hands fell upon my lanyard

No corn nibbled by a mallard
Could send one more shell into the Weatherby-
A past where I sat on the bank
By a deep TaneyComo Lake
Learning how to quack and feeder call
On my lanyard, a gift for a duck

I had never seen anyone not use corn
Or eat it if that’s what you do with it
But that did not keep me from baiting
One bag after another, I had corned a hole so me and the boys would limit out

The ducks gave us their feathers and *******
And we gave them 2 ¾ 3 shot steel loads
They cupped into the spread
We lifted our guns to our shoulders
Laid our sights onto their wings
And then yelled out “cut em” into the quiet foggy air

Mr Joe's downfall

Where did I come from
Where did I go
If I was asked how I was feeling
Id say so so
No one to go to
No one to see
I may have married a long time ago
but she didn't love me oh no no
