Three girls of same age group were sitting in front of me

One of them tall and fair sitting in the middle looked just once at me
And started laughing
Tried very hard to stop
Not to laugh
Kept her hand and pressed her mouth
But could not stop

The other two girls from left and right looked at her
Now all were laughing together
Whole room filled with their laughter
Made the moments filled with joy
When I asked why are you laughing?
They felt embarassed
As they don't have any apparent reason

I too enjoyed and hold the moment in me
It was also laughing seizure for me
I too could not stop laughing

Daily single boiled food
In one unshaped bowl
No other utensil is accepted
One old mug with broken holder
Left unused by children
is used to take liquids
When eat his food
No single grain is left
Cleaned as if washed

Wrap in single lower cloth
During all summers

Do most of his work
Without taking much help
No money he accepts for his help

Croons his prayers
to soften his old age pains

Wish to extend his life
For his son to give him time
to serve him
So that he should not have
guilt
Could not serve as he was mostly out for work
Live like a monk
is my father in law by luck

Two days were left
For my marriage
Every one was busy

Relatives were talking
They were joking

Dustbin was full
I took the bin
Went to clear the tin

Suddenly I stopped
One life was breathing
On the heap of dumping

Too weak to walk
In state of gasping

I went back running
Brought a basket of canning
With a cotton clothing

To give cushion
To a young puppy

My relatives disagreed  for keeping
If it died
It might bring misfortune
"Throw it out
From where you brought"

My mother said nothing
I fed the life drop by drop
With a dropper

Till evening to our surprise
It came out from basket
It was moving

At night
It went to its bamboo house
We covered it with soft piece of cotton dhoti
To keep it warm
In that winter night

I checked twice
During that night
It was sleeping right

At early morning
I tried to take it out
But it was motion less
And breathing less

Every one told
To dump the body in dumping place

But how could I?
I was mother for one day

We buried not in hurried
In the soil
With few prayers
To make soul free
To rest in peace

As I stepped out of my house
A kitten was crying fiercely

Frightened and scared
Calling it's mother loudly

Making so much noise
Displaying defensive postures
Situation was really horrifying

A dog was trying to pound
To make kitten in  its bound

Suddenly I saw
A female monkey jumped from tree
Standing in front of predator

In spurr of moment
She picked up kitten

Climbed up tree
Embraced it in her lap
Holding  near her chest
Soothing and comforting

It was breathtaking

Motherly love in her
Played a great role

Role model for us
Who were standing around
Few were watching
Few were busy in making reel.

Surprised to see
Bouquet of red roses
On my page

These are teachers
Can do miracles
Transform coal into
diamond

I live in a universe of my kind
Which is ruled by me

Monk like vibrations create

Bare foot walk on

On weekends I give services
to God like father
With face cream of his blessings I try to make face of  my mind glow.

With scent of his smile

Vacations are over
Feeling difficult to sleep
As if workplace pulls me if I fall asleep

Told me
"These days I don't get
Love and likes"
I asked
"Do you send love and likes?

You will get if you will click
on love and likes for them"

I lost my father recently
So you might have approached me in empathy

You showed your concern and care

Loneliness is created in me due to this great loss

Must have made me think like this
You love me

Is it my mistake?

I was on round in school
to check the activities of the  annual function to run smoothly

On the way I found a boy of class three
Who dropped himself on the ground
Took three, four rolls

I surprised and asked loudly
"Hey what are you doing?

See you have spoiled all your uniform
Your face too is painted with dusty earth
I am unable to recognize you"

He stood straight and answered innocently

"Mam I am practicing the roll of terrorist in play
I am protecting myself from Indian Army "

I hold the hand and sent him to clean his face

I was amused by the sincerity of the child by which he played his roll.

Stood on
Road of my life split
in two ways
Stopped and amazed

Left less travelled
In fear to get a longer way

But in the cries of most travelled
I lost my ways

in front of me

My duty was to carry bunddle of grass on head
To feed our hungry cows

I was never given hard work
As my rest six brothers were stout

Where we celebrated
all fervor together

Where my mother took her last breath
I want to sleep in her lap
on my mother land

A flower for my beloved
Searched it on reaching the place where we decided to meet

I found it no where
Must have dropped it some
where
Turned back to my way
To look the place
Where I dropped by mistake

I reached the place from where it was plucked
I found it there
But alas!
It was thumped by some one

It could not be given
Before I turned back
I heard it's painful cry
My tear fell on it
I took it with me and
kept in my book of love to dry
