hide away
hide away
lest they see that lying face
that rigid grim
that false set-to
everyone knows
we see you
pink elephant
come through

Grieving ones we never lost,
never had.
Absent Fathers...
Calling for memories that never existed
Longing is an emotion that tells us Love exists
Within us.
Whether there is someone to hold Her or not...
For we are Love and we are held...
If not by absent Fathers, by God Herself.

I live in longing
My doors are footprints
My windows moving shadows
My walls longing colours
Coloured rigid squares
In this room of longing
A flood is coming
To wash us of the sin
Of succumbing
To live in longing

Unfortunately I want love
More than want power (to rule, the world, and make it my *****)
And these other things
I want to be
loved
I really just wanted to put out a poem...these are all rough thoughts... I want to say it better

It was the way she looked at me.
The way her eyes stared at me intently
Hearing
Seeing
Experiencing
Me
Herself
That moment

Taking it in
Taking me in.

It was the way she stared at me.
That made my first poetry thing
Feel like a thing.

Girl with the black braids
In the front
Eyes mud
Squinting
Head tilted
Slightly
I fumbled through pages
She held me.

In her gaze
Underneath her face
I felt a hint of it,
Her praise
She stared at me
Eyes captured me
At my first poetry thing.
