The tune is real faint
Maybe ten blocks away
Its summer again
For John P. Conway

Its now getting nearer
Five or six streets
Thanks to the Conways
From the town of Runnemede

The truck is now stopped
But the engine still hums
Its mixed with the music
In the warm summer sun

What they are selling
Comes from factory made powder
The children all gather
As the music gets louder

I smell engine oil
And rubber and gas
I step up in line
I hand coins through glass

The truck is now gone
The tune is now fleeting
I loathe the Conways
Who live in Runnemede

Being young is terrific
Being younger is bleaker
It is quite depressing
The sounds from that speaker

Its tinny and flat
And different when near
**** John Conway
And the town of Runnemede.

Look at my roof
Thomas Mills Jan 2021
Look at my roof
Look at my furnace
My furnace is working
I ******* in the shower

Please come outside and look at my roof
My roof is is not sagging
My roof is well sealed

Come to my house and look at my roof
Look at my furnace
My furnace is working

I'm warm in the winter
My furnace is working
I don't think about women
I ******* in the shower

I had a bad breakup
I'm now living free
My taxes are paid
I've no gambling debts

I'm not in foreclosure
Look at my roof
Look at my furnace
I don't think about women

Come take my hand and please come outside
look at my roof
No raindrops get in

I'm a new person
I plant lots of flowers
My roof is not leaking
I'll be dry in the winter

Tonight's  a full moon
I'll swim in the lake
I'll come back to my house
And ******* in the shower.
