Now rejoice then repent

Now rejoice then repent
Since long I have meditatively roamed,
Many a vicissitude and nothing gained,
In the oblivion  the cosmos I have seen,
In the twilight and gloom there's sheen.

The Sun whirls, The moon glides yonder,
How I come and go ah I'm set to wonder,
Eloquence's fanatical, to attire in  silence,
Speak little, be reticent with forbearance.

Whisper to the balmy breeze sans frown,
Not a stir even when I wear an airy gown,
In the realms of silence I shan't hear again,
Take my word, I wilt never meet the twain.

Sad echoes will sound from what ye adore,
Life's whisked away, away drifts the shore!
Voices will sink and the eyes shall lose light,
A new Sun, a new Moon and stars so bright.

In  fading scenarios novel  pictures emerge,
Tranquility dies away, vicious passions surge,
In the flurry of passions the inebriety swells,
Blows are flying amid bawl, shrieks and yells.

Your jubilation will end in profanation of joys,
For you the fate hath woven iniquitous ploys,
Don't put on genteel semblance, stand to face
In brewing turmoil watch your thawing grace.

Feral wails shall haunt you thru day and night,
Wallowing in miseries to paint a piteous sight,
The resting hours shall agitate your toxic mind,
To feed you with memoirs so horribly unwind.

Let your wisdom make you so horribly unwise,
In the ocean of detestation ye will sink and rise,
Leap and lick your bruises, retribution is at play,
Reward or penalty, for you did yourself betray.

Let grief be the cherished gourmand and taste
The infuriating gall that awaits you in all haste,
No consoling words and no reassuring gesture,
Only time will paint thy face in ghastly feature. (Dr. Riaz Ahmad  December 9, 2020

I invoke myself

I invoke myself

The engulfing darkness can scare me naught,
'Cause in sincerity and valour I wert wrought,
O "The night traveler" thyself become a light,
With swot and blood fuel thy lantern in night."

Surpass the goal for a goal beyond the goal,
Whither my goal? For impediments I enroll;
In hot pursuit of myself,  from pillar to post,
An explorer, myself a goal, myself the coast.

A stream of love can engulf oceans of wisdom,
Slaves shaped in Love would swarm a kingdom ,
Reaching out to Self; fans a dying flame to fire!
In  the silent night, I shall wistfully play my lyre.

A sane bemoans
Dr Riaz Ahmad Dec 2020
A sane roamed through nooks and corners around,
Disgusted with primitives, sifting for a man bound,

With the slothful and weary, my soul's oppressed,
Looking for bold and forging ahead, I am possessed,

I said, " Ye shan't find one, I'm desperately shaken,
He replied, " For the undiscoverable, I'm overtaken.

My humble supplication
Dr Riaz Ahmad Dec 2020
My humble supplication
My dear Lord! Steer me to the righteous track,
And once granted, sustain me never in will lack,
I'm humble, so small and prostrate before Thee,
If worse were my lot, strike it off ere it faces me.

Thy bounties are infinite, I seek an ethereal cup,
Full of Absolute Love, eagerly I will gulp and sup,
In the maze when I stagger and piteously wallow,
Light of the cup shall usher me and I shall follow.

Whirling alone in void and suddenly nowhere ,
The twisted paths baffle me, where's the glare,
Verily  Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent ,
Many cruxes, cross roads, maneuver  my ascent.

Treacheries and falsehood  are on the rampage,
I'm helpless and forsaken but for Thine assuage,
Licking my wounds, I beg for Thy help and balm,
In the evening of my life, so pass me on in calm.

O Lord! Bless me, no one will enchant praises ever,
Pardon me for failures, with mine intensions never,
I hadst scrambled, wrangled and put in a solid fight
In my desolate seclusion, I ask for Thine Divine Light, (By Dr. Riaz Ahmad, December 10, 2020)

An Ordeal

An Ordeal
Hush! Clamour's dying whence silence prevails,
Orchestra fades,  only sinister laughs and wails,
The Sun's has lost shine but The Moon glistens,
Mysteries wane, a minstrel's sigh! Who listens?

Days rolled on and the Time hath a story to tell,
Tongue falters, for the mystery threw in a spell,
Distractions very oft' intersperse the pious trails,
Dithering  in mist of euphoria, going off the rails.

In vast wilds with no anchoring, no manifestation!
Alack!  Nobility bleeds at the altar of detestation!
There wert perfect goals, some question surfaced
On dualities, time and space, and so easily effaced

Life and death go in cycle, crux wrapped in shroud!
Some veiled, some existed, a labyrinth  lies around,
There're tumults, many whirls, un-manifest shapes,
Some simple, a few charming lo swathed in drapes.

Those unwary, are mercilessly slain and cruelly bled,
Time takes to its wings, a sigh is heaved and it's fled,
Why must the devil win? Why must virtue shy vice?
'Tis a test!  Be pious in judgment , none shall entice!         (By Dr. Riaz Ahmad, December 12, 2020)
