I held on. I did not turn and run.
And so I sleep kindly. Once in a while.
Magical dreams that persist through the trauma lighten the load on a fractured soul such as mine.
From within, solace still swells fleetingly; momentary glimpses of a long forgotten bliss, or of a future distant hope...
