Wish I could gift you a house
Serene yet sonorous with cheers of kids
Playing in the lawn in glee as they leap.
Gift you a time for eager waiting and homecoming
Time for welcoming the familiar night
And the secure embrace before the sleep.
The earth would have spun into autumn by then
Exposing the azure sky to us
For musing with the wafting clouds in a trance.
The glistening stars may stoop a little below
To listen to the evening songs of birth
With the rhythmic ritual harvest dance.
Moonlight slithering through the lunette
Should soothe our soiled griefs,
While the breeze would hurriedly chase
The shadow of quivering leaves.
And the echo of the mumbling stream
May ripple through our dulcet dream.
