Yes, I love
Ethel Osas Jun 2020
Yes I love, but if you tear
I'll live for good, I swear
You swear?
I think you dare

Your pompous self reveals only now
I see how
Mr Giver love to help the low
Ah, I see how

Your friendship currency flow
To grace the feeble hand so
Now you swear
No, no my dear

Friendship's more, I fear
And again I beg no care
Never think you favour my fare
For we both count, we are a pair

Your stay gladens me, likewise mine
Needs no shoulder raised, better sign
Cos man even how fine
Be a stead to cover fine
So, no more, no swears

Smile
Ethel Osas Jun 2020
Smile, and never mind the flaws
Reveal the broke, serrate egdes
Of your finely buttered teeth
You don't need a perfect sphere
Before you can truly smile

What is perfect but curved lips
That bears down on tongue divide
And the glow in star-spangled eyes
The issue is not in the defects
But that many forget to smile

RAIN
Ethel Osas Jul 2020
Will draw slanting lines
Outside doors and windows
Where nature dance alone
For the pelting drops,
Swampy earth,
And chilling breeze
Had banished kids from field
