I am a part of the universe
Still trying to figure out how things work
Some days are so bright it lightnings my path
But most atimes darkness takes over
I tend to forget how light feels like

I am trying to stay away from anger
I am too respected to say s*
Nevertheless, do not confuse my quietness for a dummy
I didn't clear off the corner of my peace so you could mistake my calmness for a free space
I have no time for anyone's dramatic revelations but my own
If I fall it will be in my own pride
If I rise it will be in the confidence I have in myself

They sit with their legs crossed
Toasting to their success
As if punishing us wasn't enough
Our hands tied behind us
Suffering from the punishment they deserve

They took away our homes
And locked us behind bars
Burning our evidence into ashes
Leaving us with nothing

They threaten us with their power
Instilling fear in us
Making it look as if the truth is now a lie
They bought our witness with their power
And made them conspire against us

They bought a coffin worth millions of dollars
Just to bury the truth
And laid new rules for us to follow

They formed ally with our judges
Making the whole case a useless one
Our heart is now filled with hatred and anger

They won the case
But what they don't know is
The power of truth will always prevail
