In Limitless Thoughts
Aphrodite Jun 2020
Thousands of thoughts popping like notifications,
Billions of possibilities have inflicted unanswered discourse.
Every thought can make you a madman with no hope,
As you keep guessing things that are unsure.

Signs of indirect statements telling you to go,
But a heart hopes telling the mind to fight,
Maybe someday a love you desired,
Can be fulfilled in its right time.

In limitless thoughts you were a reality,
But in countless ways you were an imagination.
If every words were clear like diamonds,
Then I can say my farewells with a heavy yet with understanding heart.
In limitless thoughts I've counted every possibilities yet I failed to figure things out because I'm so in denial with all the signs. But then again, I hope this will pass, it may take time but I truly hope that whenever I'll see you again. I will no longer see you as the person I've loved the most but someone I've been happy with yet no longer part of my future.

Tongue-Twisted
Aphrodite Jun 2020
Every second and minute of an hour,
Flashes of memory are like dewdrops,
It begins with pieces 'till you dig deeper,
Until you lose yourself again.

Tears are streaming in your cheeks,
As every beat of your heart is pounding,
Pounding with distress and confusion,
As it's left with a question of why and how.

If fate permits, I want to hear your voice,
Telling me to go and to never hold you.
My mind and soul hopes for you,
Even your tongue is twisted with a promise unsure.

The Quondam
Aphrodite Jun 2020
Young love has always been mesmerizing,
It gives you the chill and anonymous feeling,
Exciting, overwhelming, and a twisted little dream,
It has always felt right and wanting.

Yet, to love young is to risk a little,
To gamble little feelings 'till it blossoms like a flower,
And you fell for the sweetest music you could hear,
Making you feel loved yet his lying in the air.

It will always be a mark of your quondam,
It may hurt a little or a little bit bigger,
But trust me, it will pass like a rainy day,
And someday it will light up your day.

Remember that your quondam will make you stronger,
Not now but sooner or later,
Trust in the process 'till the brittle memories vanish
Like the love you thought to be tender.

Unang Pag-ibig
Aphrodite Jun 2020

Bawat Oras
Aphrodite Jun 2020
Bawat segundo, minuto, buwan at taon,

Inside the Wishing Well
Aphrodite Mar 2020
A maiden so pure and genuine,
Looking straight at the darkest part of the well,
The moon and the stars somber brightly,
Even it lit the cheerless and melancholic nightfall.

Standing still and a heart running in race,
Hugging an image of the quondam aficionado,
'Till tears streaming in her eyes,
As she remembers the old good times.

Whether she open and close her eyes,
The man in her dreams is seen in a distant,
Making a short return of how his smiles and look
Can melt her fragile heart.

The look that flatters her heart,
Those eyes so gentle and true,
The curve of his lips and the teeth that show,
Makes her cry in despair.

The stares that makes the world stop,
Left a mark in her deeply broken heart,
The stares that made her love him deeply,
She wish you'd look at her like you used to be.

Behind the Lashes
Aphrodite Mar 2020
Deep beneath the waters,
Are memoirs that etched history,
A feeling of disgusts and longing,
A madman full of hopes without learning.

Behind the lashes of every soul,
Are flashbacks of what wrecked thy heart,
A heart full of sincerity and faithfulness,
Became broken gestures of closed chapters.

Signs whispered more than string of words,
But are neglected and ignored,
Because the heart tells to love more,
That even the owner's eye clamor in despair.

Dainty mascaras have fooled the ones looking,
Telling people to adore the fancy lashes,
Has blinded them of what's happening,
The one who's wearing is a disheartened being.

Falling Star
Aphrodite Mar 2020
The sky filled with shining, shimmering stars,
The intensity it gives down to your spine and bones,
The wanting of your heart and eyes to gaze more,
Until you dream of reaching the unreachable.

Chasing and reaching the stars,
Hoping it'll fill your empty and broken heart,
Fooled you in a deeper sense,
The falling star he never laid glance.

You're such a dainty little maiden,
The lass of every lads' dream,
Yet the stars made you hope of something,
Something you can never hold and keep.
