Yesterday had gone
Many souls were born
Lo!show some pity
On those children whose lives are empty
And lack enough training
They suffer proper upbringing
Many children are out of schools
Roaming on the streets with no shoes
They rise and fall with the sun
Futuristic daughters and son
They spend their lifetime on the highway
Running after vehicles to sell everyday
Some had lost legs and arms
While many beg for alms
Noone to cater for their basic needs
What a hopeful but helpless kids!
Those children are the unknown tomorrow
That could save a nation from sorrow
My eyes poured a river of tears
When noone cares

Father is no more
Mother is no more
Fake sympathizers everywhere
With empty promises to be always there
Claiming to overtake father's position
To offer best advices and proffer solution
They promised to perform mother's responsibilities
To their best capabilities

They promised to be faraway not
To untie every life's knot
They claimed to be the new parents
And should be seen as Godsents
It was barely a full moon
And everybody disappear so soon
They were no where to be found
How crazy it sound!

Properties were seized by the fearless family member
He will oneday join the dead,he couldn't remember
Education stopped while business don't grow further
For noone to take it farther
His shame and downfall was the wishes
Of beneficiaries of his parent's riches
The basic needs could no longer be satisfied
As the orphan thought and cried

Life seem lifeless and scattered
Dreams and aspirations became shattered
The orphan was frustrated and hopeless
For everyone proved to be helpless
He embraced depression as a favourite food
For happiness is bad and sadness is good
He chose suicide as the best option
And the possible solution

If poverty is a man
I would crush it to death
I hate to see stressed sweats
On faceless faces of man
Whose struggles has become food
And endless hustles with no good

Unhappiness is like a tasteless tea
For happy hearts, it is not a delight
Yet,sorrowful soul embrace it day and night
Eventhough,their dreams are empty
How can a mouth that hardly touch food be happy?
Or how can a soul dressed in rag be happy?

Poor people hardly remember tomorrow
But the survival of today
A soul that tasted happiness everyday
Will not wish for sorrow
For poor people, life is like a hell
But left with no option, in it they dwell

Their mind is full of echoes of silent screams
But noone respond to their cries
They call it pretences and lies
And life built on empty dreams
Make poor people happy where they reside
Save sorrowful soul save suicide

If I possess power to **** poverty
I would do so without delay
I wish to help many souls in my own little way
And save people whose lives are empty
For a helpless soul is a dangerous snake
That could put a nation at stake

How could you understand how they feel?
When you toy with their emotions
And neither give them comforts nor solutions
How could you believe their story is real?
When you call it pretences and lies
And turn deaf ears and blind eyes

How can a soul wear poverty garment?
In a democratic states of elites
And feel helpless with an unprotected rights
Yet,we claim good government
What a wicked world!
This has gone beyond a mere world

It is not over
Until I finally cross over
To see my maker
For he(maker) is giver and taker
Invisible on earth
But visible to the holy hearts
I was made a fool
For thinking life is beautiful
But heaven is the most beautiful place
Where I would see my maker face
And there reside paradise
For holy hearts if he dies
The earth is just a Rome
Heaven is a true home
There we would rest
If we pass life test
For those who fail
There is no bail
When death comes
It uses different forms

Our country was colonized by British
Our resources are rich
We were granted Independence
But exhibit not moral decadence

Leaders call for change
But demonstrate not any change
And engage in social vices
They campaign with derica of rices

Fake promises during campaign by
Construction of road, bridges and all a lie
The voices of citizens not heard and pains not seen
God forgive leaders their sin

We celebrate Nigeria @58
Yet,leaders rule us with hate
They rule for selfish gain
Citizens tackle physical pain

Oh Nigerians! let us all stand up
And flag proudly be raised up
Positive change can happen with PVC
And all will be easy as ABC

I missed your smiles
If I walk thousand miles
Morroco is far
I can't reach where you are

Gone are those days
You showed me ways
To study my book
And taught me how to cook

Do you still remember
I once loved okro soup and eba?
Those memories could be old
But it can still be told

Life can be so deceitful
It makes me a fool
Thinking that you will come soon
Everynight,I watched the moon

I really want to see you
I once told brother Aliyu
There was a day
We both pray

What of the weather, I hope
You are able to cope?
To be in a foreign land
Is exciting and

It can also be tedious
Oh brother!you are genius
A brother like you is rare
To see you happy is all I care

My memory is full
Of your hugs and kisses
You can call me a fool
Idiot and even hisses

I am in the ocean of love
Ready to sink
Save your love
And have a rethink

When you cry
I always feel sad
Trust me,I don't lie
And I become bad

People call me names
But I don't mind
It only increased my fames
Because I am loveblind

In the darkness
You are my light
You created brightness
And saved me from my plight

If we marry
We will have wonderful kids
Do not worry
I will provide your needs

You are all I want in life
You are my truelover
I was threatened with a knife
By your ex-lover

I love you
And I am not afraid
All I desire is you
I can even be your maid

I wish you could be mine
Your love intoxicate me
Like fresh palmwine
Please marry me

Your kisses gave me reasons to live
All night and day
And please do not leave
You showed me my way
