She
Wailing from beneath an ancient veil, her face obscured, full of sorrow and deathly pale.

She walks in darkness with a silent step. Searching, forever searching for salvation and someone to help.

Once she lived happy and bright, a beautiful child surrounded by love and light.

Until the black shadow of pain took her away ne'er to feel the touch of  love again Tears replacing laughter frown replacing smile she choked on isolations poisonous bile.

Now given, body and soul to perpetual night. She is lost amid the stigian gloom screaming inside a stagnant tomb.

The blank mind devoid of joy is filled with hate weeping for love spurned. With no hope, no chance of its return.

A funeral march, it's solemn ominous tones the soundtrack to her eternal vigil. With rotted flesh and crumbling bones.

Sad wings wrap her tight as she cries with grief to the pitiless cold night.

Do you remember those seasons in the sun? Carefree days of laughter and fun..
Remember seeing Star Wars and Close Encounters with a soundtrack by ABBA The Bee Gees and Boney M.

Do you remember playing football in the park. Staying out riding bikes until dark. Remember Kevin Keegan, Bjorn Borg and James Hunt. Iconic images of Concorde's first transatlantic flight.

Do you remember watching Space 1999,  Planet of the Apes and Dr Who from behind the sofa. Remember space hoppers and friendly village coppers. Endless lazy summer days soaking up the suns rays.

Do you remember Steve Austin, the Bionic Man. Getting a 99 with a flake from the ice cream van. Remember how cool were Starsky and Hutch and wanting a red Ford Torino.

I remember those seasons in the sun. I remember carefree days of laughter and fun.40 something years ago, where did the time go?

That little boy who cheered when the Death Star exploded, hid from the Daleks and danced to Rasputin and Ma Barker still lives within my memory and in my heart.

I miss your laughter, it's sound lifts my spirit.
I miss your smile, it's radience lights my soul.
I miss your smell, it's fragrance intoxicates my senses.
I miss your touch, it's gentle feel gives me electric shivers.
I miss the way you brush your hair from your face.
I miss the way your eyes are filled with joy.
I miss the way you hold my hand as we walk in the rain.
I miss your compassion and understanding.
I miss you more than these words can express, I feel it in my heart and in my thoughts.
Did I tell you I love your friendship?
Did I tell you enough that I really do miss you?

Still I wait, for the day that she will come. A light to guide me, warmth to thaw me, the kiss of love to revive me.

Still I wait, to cherish a moment divine. A feeling tingling through my entire being. Your Yin to my Yang, your day to brighten my night.

To lose myself in a tender embrace. I , alone still hoping for the day, one day. Until....... When? I cannot say. Still I wait, still........

The fall of Mankind, the inevitable finally achieved by greed arrogance and disrespectful deed. Mother nature screams. Children of the Earth heeded no warning and the plunder continued unceasing.

The shining jewel in heavens crown,a blue pearl in a sea of black. Mother Earth ***** and beaten down. Her pitiful wail, her silent plea from defiled forest and polluted sea made the Gods weep, as her poisoned flesh did creep.

The Gods favoured the wretched ape gave it occult knowledge unleashing a monstrous beast. Now aghast and ashamed by their savage creation tears fell in bitter lamentation.

Pan implored Zeus to act. " My realm is dying it's life in peril from these wretched apes and their selfish wilful intentions.'

Zeus , wise and just agreed..... " I see the way they behave without respect , trample and uproot destroying the wild woods".

Ares snarled with curled lip ....."  Let them fight, it will save us the job!' "  Their warlike nature and intolerant ways, quick to anger and full of hate, Hades awaits with open gate."

The Earth sighed and the Heavens groaned as the wretched apes ran amok , enslaving exploiting and destroying. The inheritors of the Earth saw not the pain that caused. Late, far too late realisation dawned.

So, one day it came. Thunderbolts across the sky. Heralding apocalyptic avenging angels riding forth. Man cowered wondering why ? Falling on apologetic knee begging for mercy. " We will amend our ways. We understand! We see!!"

The Gods spoke and men did tremble. " In who's name hath thee desecrated this Earth?" " Polluting nature with thy obscene filth" " Time hath judged thee guilty, a sentence passed." " No more !No more !This day shall be thy last".

The cities quaked beneath the wrath, crumbling to the sea. Poseidon's tide swallowing them with pitiless glee. The glittering golden temples, monuments to greed and avaricious plunder tumbled and fell. Mankind's arrogance torn asunder.

And so the wretched ape was erased, the beautiful Earth was cleansed. Peace amongst the animals , bird fish insect and mammals. A lesson learnt, a chapter closed. Assigned to history the wretched apes disposed.

When your days seem like weeks, hours drag relentless and cruel like lead weights tied to your soul. With despair hanging like a steel grey cloud blocking you from the sun. Remember , you are not the only one.

When weeks feel like desolate years, each one seen through with sad salty tears. When it seems the world has taken away the fun. Remember, you are not the only one.

Striving for meaning, stumbling on through life and nothing , it seems , can ease the pain. Gambling with emotions , nought to lose and everything to gain. Remember, you are not the only one.

Anonymous aimless and invisible,is there a love waiting for you? Hope seems to fade from a heart which bitter pain has ripped apart.

Please remember you are not the only one....I feel it too and will always be there for you.

Songs of the unquiet forest echo eerily in the dead of night. The piercing howl of a lonesome wolf carries on a nocturnal zephyr.

The creaking cracking of tree limbs tired and heavy with age punctuate the dark. Owls hoot and foxes shriek

Alive! Nature's symphony floating from sinister shadow, filling the night with sound. Underscored with a gentle breeze rustling and tugging at sleeping leaves.
