A Hand To Hold
Curie Gupta May 2019
Oh there I am,
Clumsily,on my little knees
I dare to stand,to take a step,
And then again,I topple,
At times,I laugh,
At times,I cry,
And then when nothing to do,I wobble!

The “little” self
Repeats the same
Falls again and wonders
Then it sees a beautiful face,
The heart calling it my ANGEL!

I see her bent on her knees,
At a distance not so far away,
She claps her hands and calls me there,
Giving me the strength to conquer!
I rise with my shaky legs
And the lingering fear that I may tumble,
But my faith in her paves a way through it all,
Because…it sees “a hand to hold”,my Mother’s!!!
