Lay me down in the mountains
When it's my time to go
Don't you worry about leaving me there
I won't be cold anymore

I've always loved the smell
Of a smoky mountain rain
Among those trees that i know so well
I won't feel anymore pain

And I enjoy the sunrise
Yes up here it's quite a view
I couldn't think of anything more nice
Except maybe to spend it with you
And when those wolves are howling
I won't be afraid
These creature have to eat too
Just lay me down in the mountains, babe.

Turn me towards the sun
So you can feel some warmth on your face
My miles have already been run
But it seems you're still in the race

So lay me down but don't say goodbye
This isn't where our story ends
I know it hurts and you want to cry
But we'll see each other again

And I enjoy the sunrise
Yes up here it's quite a view
I couldn't think of anything more nice
Except maybe to spend it with you
And when those wolves are howling
I won't be afraid
These creature have to eat too
Just lay me down in the mountains, babe.

Life ebbs away much like ink, leaving only a blank page and room enough for someone else to write their story.

Let Them Be Children

It only lasts a little while
A peaceful life with a cheerful smile
Haven't a worry, haven't a clue
What the rest of the world is going through

Let them make their mistakes
Let them have their fun
Singing all of their silly songs
While they play all day in the sun

Dont forget
Dear mother and dad
They want the childhood
That the both of you had

They want to draw
And fight with their brothers
But that's not all
They'll sometimes forget their manners

And that's okay
Because tomorrow is new
To do something else
They set out to do.

So let them be their astronauts
With a box on their heads
Let them be doctors
Or cowboys instead.

Let them be young
Let them be free
Until the future is ready
Just wait and see.

One voice cries in the wilderness
One voice cries alone
One voice calls the storms to cease
One voice to atone

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

One man walks like a miracle
One man represents
One hand stretched far to the east
The other to the west

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

Friday morning, like a velvet rose
Up the hill, comes a brand new day
Free at last, ah they took your life
But they could not take it to their graves

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

In the name of love
What more in the name of love
In the name of love
What more in the name of love

Solemnly I write these words, well aware that they are not the ones that come to mind.

Another thought is left unsaid
I thought i saw you in the car ahead
The suns in my eyes but I can clearly see
No matter how hard i try it's just not meant to be

I told myself no, oh no
Said it was better to be all alone
Id never stay mad at myself for long
And my heart wouldn't break
When I hear that song
All these memories have no place to go
All along I told myself no..

Love was a risk and the stakes were high
I took a chance and gambled with my life
And I told myself not to fall so far
Now I'm telling myself not to fall apart

I've got your name on my heart
Never thought I'd play this part
And now nothing can soothe my soul

I told myself no, oh no
Said it was better to be all alone
Id never stay mad at myself for long
And my heart wouldn't break
When I hear that song
All these memories have no place to go
All along I told myself no..

Laugh today to make up for tomorrow's tears.
