Thomas was a poor man
He never had much money
You never saw his name
On the front page
He blessed his crops three times a day
He said I know someone up there
Must like me but I can't imagine why

Thomas is a good man
A good name too
Some might say
It comes from the bible anyway
The lands no good
And it's all dried up by now
But he picks up his cross
And a bag of soil
And goes back to the plow

He was born to a tailor
He always got trousers
On Christmas day
He spent his days
Praying through the knees
As he wiped the leaves away

Thomas is a good man
A good name too
Some might say
It comes from the bible anyway
The lands no good
And it's all dried up by now
But he picks up his cross
And a bag of soil
And goes back to the plow

He could almost see his mansion
While his home was on the road
Pulling at their pockets
He could almost feel
The rich mans gold
Most men called him crazy
As they threw him out of town
Now hes gone from rags to riches
Wearing his scars like a crown

His name is Daniel
And hes ahead of his time
At the front of the pack
Walking down the road
With a song in his heart
And empty hands
On his way to the promised land
Daniel hes not turning back

He was caught
With another mans wife
Wondering how he got there
Fearing for his life
Hes served from a silver platter
I would think he has it well
But where they got that head
I cannot begin to tell

His name is Daniel
And hes ahead of his time
At the front of the pack
Walking down the road
With a song in his heart
And empty hands
On his way to the promised land
Daniel hes not turning back

Its Friday night
My old mans probably
Turning up another bottle
While he chews on the fat
My old lady's in her apron never satisfied
She slaves all day and that's a fact

My baby sisters around somewhere
Turning every head in town
You know the cats really go
For some heels and a show
Wearing that gown
And some rings in her ears

Were just your modern day people
Just your model American trash
This house is not a home
And this street is my steeple
Your average age product of the working class

Well you can find me
I'll be on the square
Looking for a pretty thing
Without a care
We can get a little *****
We can have some fun
Lighting up til half past none

Were just your modern day people
Just your model American trash
This house is not a home
And this street is my steeple
Your modern age product of the working class

Modern day Kid

Wrote this about Billy the Kid about a little kid and his dad who play Billy and Sherriff Pat Garrett

A little Kid
With a little gun
Pulls the trigger back
Just for fun

He says "I'll make you famous
Don't you deny!
But an outlaw like me
Someday will die."

There is a man
Standing six feet tall
With a shiny old badge
And a hat of straw

Says "Now before you go Kid
Any last words to say?"
But his mama calls
And he rides away

A little girl
Lives down the street
With skin so dark
Whispers words so sweet

She says "I am a damsel
And I'm in distress"
He steals a kiss
And blushes red

Little Kid
With a little gun
Pulls the trigger back
Just for fun
He gets on his bike
His mama calls him in
The Little Kid rides again

A time before, in another age, when our forefathers' sweat poured out to this country, and their hearts beat for this nation ensuring equality for all mankind.
Now, we are coming to the End of an Era, and dare I say the final era. Challenging that same nation, live up to the same hope and vision these great men saw before they, in dedication, and in retrospect, for the same hope for that nation, can themselves endure.
We highly resolve those men, and the crimes that have since been long committed on the Great Plains of this great nation as God stands in witness to the events which have taken place, that our forefathers words may not be taken with them to the grave. That this nation stands firm under God in the highest and shall have a new outlook on Freedom, and that her people will have new dreams, and hold true to those before, and the peoples Government, shall long endure.

"Such a place for a thief!"
The patrolman cried.
"Just the place for a crook!"
The Thief replied;
"What a schnook!
So easily you were duped!
Indeed you are stuped!
Considering the time that you took!"

"Just  the place for a thief!
I've now said it twice.
Indeed you are sly!
Considering each day
That I passed you by!
Why I did not notice you more than I would have a fly!"
"You are no match! But I've made a mistake!
For I would be free
If that gate would unlatch!"
"Such a place for a crook!"
A deep breath he took.
"For one would be wise
If he knew where to look!
"I will be blunt, this is all in good fun!
For when the cat is away the mice will run!"
"Fun! Began the hunt
When you pulled such a stunt!"
"Yes, yes. I saw and I sprung. I started to run!
But perish the thought
For soon I to will be hung!"

"Grumpy old man,"
The young man said.
"Indeed you are very wise!
Though your lines on your face
Have grown increasingly dark
And your hair incessantly white.

How ever did you manage
At such disadvantage
Do you think it is truly right?
For you to insist
While you still exist
To ever put up a fight?"

The old man scratched his head
As he rose up in bed
"I feared it might injure my health.
Tho Doctors continue
To care for me through
On account of all of my weath!"

"Grumpy old man,"
The young man said
"Again you are blind as a bat!
And yet you manage
To easily walk down the street
How ever can one explain that?"

"In my youth,"
The old man replied.
"Through every argument with my wife,
With every word that was said,
It became quite clear
For my life I held dear
I should keep eyes
In the back of my head!"
